#SEONGHWA talking about watching his favorite musical, Les Misérables., for the first time in a theater in London! ⭐️: Anyway, as for what I did today, I’m talking in circles (not answering). Today… so yesterday after dinner I saw they were performing a musical. I’ve seen a lot of small‑theater musicals but I’ve never seen a really big musical live, like in person. So… and they happened to be performing my favorite! What could it be~? Oh, someone got it right. It's Les Misérables. When did it come out? I was in wlementary school? Wait, when did Les Misérables come out in Korea? When it first released I went to see it with my mom, just the two of us. (After researching it) Here it says it came out in 2012. Then how old was I? Was I in middle school? Yes, right. I went to see it with my mom, the two of us, and it was so fun. I think it was the first musical film I properly watched in a theater. Before that I watched Mamma Mia on DVD when I was in Australia, but I couldn’t understand it then so I didn’t know what was fun about it. Les Mis was the first musical film I properly saw in a theater. I loved it so much that I went to see it three or four more times. And then yesterday, when I came out after eating, I saw this huge billboard for it. So, since I’m the type who acts fast once I decide, I said “I’m going to watch it today,” and went with my manager. There were real session musicians there, like down below. I was shocked by that. From above, like slightly, youu could see the conductor. I didn’t know that, I thought they played MR... So I was like, “this is awesome.” I went and bought merch too. But I didn’t know which seats were good, so I just chose the seat in the back of the first floor. But because there’s a second floor, my view was blocked, my view of the stage looked like this (obstructed from the bottom and above), so I watched slouching on my chair like this. Now I know, the front row of the second floor is the best. Or the very front of the first floor so you can see the actors’ expressions well. But movies are better from the back so (I though was the same for musicals). Anyway. Yes, I think it was a “restricted view” seat... it was probably cheaper. Anyway, the show was 2 hours 50 minutes and since I know the movie so well I understood everything even without subtitles. It was so fun. I knew most of the songs too. It was my first time seeing a musical in such a big venue so it was really great. The actors too were amazing. There were about 40? And the set, there were at least 10 different ones. I don’t know how it works, because it’s was not people moving/changing sets. They just slid in and out and the stage transitions were so smooth. Who’s my favorite character? Oh, that's a hard question? First, I like Marius. Ah, actualyy, when I was younger I liked Cosette and Marius. But now I feel drawn to Éponine. Because she loves so... unconditionally. After watching it today, Éponine loves Marius but even while she’s in a one‑sided love, she tells him where the girl he loves lives and helps him escape. That's so sad. Fantine was really pitiful too. Kind of... unfairly treated? My favorite song is One Day More, of course. And today, there were songs that felt different listening now that I’m older. I don't know the titles so I’ll have to look them up. The lingering feeling was strong, it felt similar to when I first watched it. And after that act (One Day More), the audience clapped and cheered so loudly. You know, I thought musicals were supposed to be quiet? But everyone was cheering so loudly, so I clapped and shouted too. And right after it ended the lights suddenly turned on and I was like, "is it over?" but it was the intermission. There were Act 1 and Act 2. I was so confused, I really thought it was over. I asked myself, “Is this a half‑length movie?" I mean, "musical?” Everyone got up so naturally and I was just confused alone. Anyway, the orchestra was seriously so cool. I want to see it in Korea too.

Elon Musk tells the story of his early career Elon recounts building his first startup Zip2 after dropping out of his PhD program at Stanford: “In 1995 I basically wrote the first — or close to the first — maps, directions, and yellow pages on the Internet. I just wrote that personally and didn’t use a web server (I just read the port directly) because I couldn’t afford one. The original office was on Sherman Avenue in Palo Alto. There was an ISP on the floor below, so I drilled a hole through the floor and ran a LAN cable directly to the ISP. My brother joined me and another co-founder (Greg Kouri who passed away). At the time we couldn’t even afford a place to stay, and the office was $500 per month, so we just slept in the office and showered at the YMCA.” However, Elon did not intend to start a company at first: “I tried to get a job at Netscape. I sent my resume into Netscape and nobody responded. Then I tried hanging out in the lobby to see if I could bump into someone but I was too shy to talk to anyone. So I was like, ‘Man this is ridiculous. I’ll just write software myself and see how it goes.’ It wasn’t actually from a standpoint of ‘I want to build a company.’ I just wanted to be part of building the Internet in some way. And since I couldn’t get a job at an Internet company, I had to start an Internet company.” In 1999, Zip2 was sold to Compaq for $307 million. After the acquisition, Elon took the $20 million he earned from it and invested it into a new payments company called X, which eventually merged with Peter Thiel’s Confinity to form PayPal. “I kept the chips on the table,” he recalls. “I got that $20 million check for my share of Zip2. At the time I was living in a house with four housemates and had like $10,000 in the bank. Then this check arrives in the mail and my bank account went to $20,010,000. I had to pay taxes on that, but I ended up putting almost all of that into X.” In 2002, PayPal was acquired by eBay for $1.5 billion. Elon earned ~$175-180 million from the sale based on his ~11.7% stake. In the subsequent decade, he would keep his chips on the table again and invest it all into Tesla and SpaceX. Firstly, my work isn’t AI GENERATED PROMPT. The reason why I privated my account was because I was busy yesterday and couldn’t explain things. Fonts that I used: • For the “HAMKU” I used PECKHAM PRESS, I rasterized the letters a bit to achieve a close font from the official account. • For the texts I used CHANTAL medium in lower case. • For my username I used CHALKDUSTER. Brushes that I used: • Studio Pen • HB Pencil (for sketching) • Shale Brush For the colors I won’t list it, kindly check the third photo to see the palettes. I have to admit that I get lazy to use it and even lost in the palettes, so I mainly use the eyedropper tool. Here is the original version, as you can see my original version is so low quality, the lines are too pixelated and not clean—that is why I chose to post the ai enhanced version. Since I used ai to enhanced the lines of my original work, it definitely generated a new version which I still decided to post as the lines are cleaner. I really don’t know the way around on procreate. If you have suggestions on how to avoid the pixelated lines on procreate, kindly please tell me. This is my first time using it for line art cause I mostly use it for painting. I actually don’t know how many layers I exactly have as I already deleted some layers during the process. I didn’t expect I had to provide it. I spent hours on making it from ideas down to the final product. I really wanted it to be similar to the official design. This is my first and last explanation regarding this because if you are still not convinced that I made it, I don’t know what else to say.

Yesterday, while the climax sequence of ‘Odyssey’ was playing on the giant screen at the IMAX theatre in Wadala, Mumbai, I received a WhatsApp from my close friend from school and college days who has been living in the Gulf (Doha, Qatar) for four decades: “Tell me how ‘Odyssey’ is. I really feel like watching it, but I didn’t like Dunkirk and Tenet… If you like it, I’ll watch it on Sunday.” After the film ended, while the end credits were rolling, I replied: “First reaction. Waste of time. It’s not as slow and boring as Dunkirk, but it’s a weak masala film that had to spend 800 crore rupees on marketing just to get audiences into theatres.” After leaving the theatre, I posted a review on Book My Show. I gave it 1 star out of 10 and wrote: “Third-class film. Artificially hyped up. Regret spending money on expensive tickets. No grandeur of IMAX. It feels like a film made for OTT platforms.” I then sent the screenshot of this review and the BMS link to my personal friend circle. In response, my friend from Kentucky, USA, wrote: “Just cancelled my tickets. Thank you!” I replied to him: “You showed wisdom in saving your money; I went ahead and wasted mine today!” My Mumbai friend wrote: “So this is another Dunkirk! Either Nolan himself is overrated or people have unnecessarily put him on a pedestal. I watched Dunkirk on OTT — couldn’t sit through more than 45 minutes. I even took an Apple TV subscription specially for ‘Oppenheimer’, but there wasn’t much power in that either.” (Then, sarcastically, he added) “Maybe we don’t have the intelligence to understand great cinema!” (By the way, this friend is a true cinephile and has deep knowledge of cinema). Another friend from Mumbai wrote: “Thanks, we were planning to go on Sunday…” A friend who lives in Mumbai but is currently on a holiday with friends in Kasauli read my review and said: “All other film reviewers should also write in such strong language and bring these people down from the skies to the ground… These big-budget films survive only on 90% promotion. In fact, this has become the hallmark of all superficial people.” I wrote back to him: “Just watch — all the pseudo-intellectuals are going to lift this film on their shoulders and dance with it.” A friend who was travelling from Kashmir to Leh-Ladakh wrote: “If you had waited two-four days, your money would have been saved!” A cinema-loving friend from Navsari wrote: “We won’t go now.” I feel that all my close friends who have cancelled their plans to watch ‘Odyssey’ should send me 10% of the money they had planned to spend, so that I can recover somewhat from the massive financial loss I suffered yesterday for the sake of public interest! #Odyssée #Odyssee #review

Cole Caufield’s first moments in the NHL: “When I got called up at the end of the 2021 regular season, I didn’t even think I was going to play. We were on a road trip out west, and I was just along for the ride. Healthy scratch. Get acclimated. Practice with the guys. And man, those were some guys. Shea Weber. Carey Price. Eric Staal. Corey Perry. Tyler Toffoli. I was coming into that room probably looking like the water boy. I couldn’t have been more starstruck. We’re at a morning skate in Calgary, and it was a bag skate, of course. I’m thinking I’m going back to the hotel for a nice nap, throw on the suit, sit up in the press box and have a Gatorade. We’re on the bus and somebody tells me, ‘Hey, you’re playing tonight.’ I thought they were joking. I said, ‘Oh my God, we just bag skated. I’m toast.’ I called my parents and my brother, and that was an awesome moment, just them getting choked up and saying, ‘We’ll be watching you on TV.’ That was the hardest nap of my life. I couldn’t even sit still. I mean…. I’m somebody who started skating in diapers. Me and my brother used to watch the NHL and be playing carpet hockey in full gear in the living room, pretending that we were those guys. I demanded to wear my hockey socks and everything. So yeah, that night in Calgary was pretty much the greatest 15 minutes and even plus-minus of my life. I thought that was probably going to be it — a couple games at the end of the season. But we had a few injuries, and somehow I ended up in the playoff lineup. Everything went so fast that I don’t even think I had time to be nervous. I’ll never forget, I was just so happy to be there and so amped up that we were at a morning practice at the start of Round 2 against Winnipeg, and we’re just supposed to be warming up the goalies, right? Nice and easy. We’re in the shootout line, and I get up to the front, and I had this goosebumps moment where I guess it finally sunk in like, ‘You’re a Montréal Canadien. You’re coming down on Carey Price right now. This is unbelievable.’ I came flying down like a bat out of hell at a freaking morning practice after Game 2 of a playoff series — guys are literally still yawning, stretching — and I absolutely rip one on net. As soon as I let it go, I thought, Oh s***. I smoked Carey right in the face. The sound was insane. Everybody stopped. You could have heard a pin drop in there. All I could think was, Is Shea looking at me? Is he going to kill me? I wanted to dig a hole in the ice and hide. Thank God, it was Carey Price. He shook it off like it was nothing, and he’s the chillest guy ever, so he wasn’t even mad at me. But then I skated back to the line and one of our vets just looked at me and said…. ‘Hey kid?’ ‘Yeah?’ ‘Don’t ever f****** do that again.’ Noted. Noted. I think I went five-hole on Carey for the next two months. The puck never left the ice.” Cole Caufield | Canadiens Montréal

My Polymarket bot is finished! It’s fully automated, I just run it and let the magic happen. At the start of each "Bitcoin Up or Down" round, the bot only watches the market during the first 2 minutes (configurable). If, during that time, either UP or DOWN drops fast enough, a price drop of at least 15% over 3 seconds (configurable), the bot triggers Leg 1 and immediately buys the side that dumped. After this first buy, the bot will never buy the same side again. Instead, it waits for a hedge opportunity on the opposite side. The hedge (Leg 2) is triggered only when: Leg1 entry price + current opposite ask price auto on [sum=0.95] [move=0.15] [windowMin=2] > shares: number of shares bought each time (for both Leg 1 and Leg 2) > sum: total price threshold that allows the hedge > move: dump threshold (e.g. 0.15 = 15%) > windowMin: number of minutes from the start of the round during which Leg 1 is allowed In this example, I ran: auto on 10 0.95 0.15 4 The bot watched the market for the first 4 minutes and bought 10 DOWN shares at $0.35 after a 17% drop in 3 seconds. A few seconds later, it bought 10 UP shares at $0.56, because: 0.56 + 0.35 = 0.91 < 0.95 That locked in a clean 9% profit. Why limit the strategy to the first 4 minutes of the round? Because early in the cycle, the market still has time to dump further and then stabilize. The closer you get to the end of the round, the lower the probability of seeing large corrective moves. Early on, there’s still time for volatility to play out. You can watch the video, the first order triggers at 2:50, and the second order at 3:02. If you’re interested in the bot, DM me.

#WATCH | Noida techie death case | Greater Noida | Moninder, a Flipkart agent, who rescued Yuvraj's body from the drain, says, "The incident happened at 12 o'clock that night. I went there at 1.40 AM. I was enroute delivering an order. There was a crowd, and seeing it, I understood that the fog was very thick that night, and someone had driven their car into the drain, because something similar had happened 15 days earlier. It was the same situation, and I had rescued that driver, too. Then someone said that a boy had fallen into the water with his car around 12 o'clock. I saw that the government employees were quite panicked... Then I asked them if I could go in. They asked me if I knew how to swim. I said yes. I immediately took off my clothes, tied a rope around my waist, and went straight in, at least 50 meters. There were about 100 people standing on the road, but I went so far in that I couldn't see a single person from there. They were showing me with torch signals from a distance, indicating where I should look for the car. The boy had drowned just 10 minutes before I arrived. Before that, the boy was trapped for 1.5 hours and kept calling for help. After falling, he had also called his father, saying, 'I've fallen into a ditch, please save me.' The police arrived at the scene immediately, but most of the police officers were elderly, probably over 50 years old. The younger ones didn't go in themselves because the temperature was below freezing that day, and they didn't know how to swim. They immediately called the fire brigade, which arrived within 20 minutes... I looked for him for at least 30 to 40 minutes. They told me that he had stopped shouting for help around five minutes ago... That turn is so dangerous that if someone unfamiliar with the area approaches it in the fog, there's a 101% chance they will fall into the ditch. There isn't even a wall there for a vehicle to hit..."

youngjae shares the behind the scene or the reason why his eyes were so red after he got emotional winning first at inkigayo (🐶 reading a comment) 🐶: why my eyes are red? ah there’s really a lot i could say about that. honestly, during the second week of inkigayo promotions, our schedule was insanely tough from the very first week. thankfully, we got to promote both the title track and ‘ATP.’ of course, we couldn’t perform ‘ATP’ on mubank, but on mcountdown we performed both ‘ATP’ and the title track. then for mubank too, we had both the title track and all the second-week stages. since our schedule that second week was basically impossible to manage while staying in korea, we had to pre-record everything for the second week too mubank - inkigayo all of it. we’d be doing title-track pre-recordings at dawn, then pre-recordings or live broadcasts for ‘ATP’ too. after finishing second-week music show schedules, we’d immediately move on to filming even more second-week content. before the comeback, with the members we talked a lot about the schedule. we kept saying, ‘this schedule really doesn’t seem like it’s going to be easy.’ not just for us either, we thought the fans coming to pre-recordings would also be physically exhausted. we kept wondering, ‘will everyone really be okay?’ we talked about things like that a lot. but somehow we got through all of it. while we were in japan for kcon, we were also performing at the k-style party, and thankfully we even got first place (in mubank) while we're in japan too. i’m really, really grateful for that. then right after k-style ended, we flew straight back from 🇯🇵 to 🇰🇷, rested a little at the dorm and then shinyu hyung immediately went off to prepare for his mc schedule while the rest of us got ready for the live broadcast too. honestly, during mubank, it’s not that i necessarily want people to recognize how hard things were. but every time we won first place, i always ended up talking about this, our fans work so hard behind the scenes. streaming, voting… they really give it everything. quietly and steadily, just so they can see us win first place. watching 42s pour all their time and energy into that for us makes me feel so thankful and grateful, but also honestly really sorry too. so while all the exhaustion from the first week was passing by, i kept remembering how hard the fans worked voting and streaming, how hard the members worked together and how much everyone suffered through it. i also kept thinking about the staff members constantly running around backstage, barely sleeping, barely eating, staying with us through pre-recordings and everything. seeing all that made me realize that first place isn’t just ‘first place.’ i mean, people call it a win, but inside that one word are countless hours, countless people’s sweat, effort, and hard work all packed into it. that’s really what it felt like to me this time. especially on inkigayo, for some reason, i felt that even more strongly. so during these promotions, we really carried this sense of responsibility and pressure that we had to do even better while preparing for our official comeback with ‘overdrive’ too. because of that, so many thoughts were passing through my mind while we were singing the encore. but honestly, even before we went up for the encore stage, suddenly i got extremely nervous. all the artists were standing by there waiting, and out of nowhere i started shaking. i kept telling the members, ‘i’m so nervous.’ then we went up, did the encore stage for everyone there and prepared for the live broadcast results announcement. the moment they revealed the live voting results, i suddenly felt really strange. i kept thinking, ‘can we really win first place?’ somehow, while we were waiting in the waiting room, i had this feeling that today might be our last chance to win during the ‘You You’ promotions.+ #TWS #투어스 #영재 #YOUNGJAE

#ELLEBsideStory #ELLEThailand #beckysangels #ELLEBSideStoryxBECKY 🎤: How did you enter the entertainment industry? Did you start by acting in dramas right away? 🧚‍♀️: Actually, it started when I was very young. Some people might know, some might not. I first entered the industry through singing competitions, because I really loved singing. That was my “first love,” you could say. So I practiced very hard and joined competitions, but at that time, that stage might not have been my path yet. And that was okay. I went back abroad to continue my studies. Later on, I came back. I’m someone who moves around a lot. After returning, there happened to be auditions for TharnType The Series Season 2. When I saw it, I felt it was worth trying. But I had many obstacles. I couldn’t read Thai, I couldn’t write Thai, and I couldn’t even speak Thai fluently. So what could I use to compete? I remember thinking, what if I try and it doesn’t go well? But I had my family supporting me—my brother, my dad, my mom. They encouraged me and said, “Just try. If you don’t try, how will you know?” And it’s true. If I went and failed, so what? I would just go home and start over again. So I’m really grateful that the seniors at the time saw potential in me. That made me realize I had to work even harder, especially on my Thai. I had to give it my all. In the beginning, there were quite a lot of negative comments because my Thai really wasn’t good. People would say things like, “Becky doesn’t speak clearly,” or “Becky’s acting isn’t very good.” At first, reading those comments made me feel down. But then I thought, okay, I’ll improve myself. I practiced Thai even harder, practiced singing Thai songs. Every day I had to send recordings to my manager, and I read from “กอ ไก่” all the way to “ฮอ นกฮูก” (the Thai alphabet). I read it out loud to him every single day. I believe that if we want to present a piece of work, it has to be sincere and real, because we need to respect the audience, respect ourselves, and respect everyone who believes in us. Gradually, things got better. Then I had the opportunity to act in GAP: The Series. I was also very thankful that the seniors saw my qualities and chose Becky to partner with P’Freen. That felt like a starting point that allowed more people to get to know us. The fans are all incredibly lovely and have always supported each other. This hasn’t been an easy path, but I’m truly very proud of us.

A Canadian walks into a barbershop in Urumqi and meets a Tibetan and a Uyghur. That’s not the start of a joke. That’s how I made two great new friends. On the way back to Chongqing we stopped in Urumqi again, and I found a little shop called 25HBarber shop, way up in a high-rise looking over the city. There’s a bar in the shop. They pour you free whisky while you get your hair cut. The owner is Tibetan, originally from Gansu. One of the main barbers is a local Uyghur guy who’s been with him since they opened 5 years ago. Both of them were great to talk to. We covered a lot of ground. What I didn’t tell them was what I actually make content about online. When I’m in Xinjiang, I rarely mention that I make videos about China, and often about Xinjiang. Too many people have used Uyghurs and other locals as props for a story they already decided on. I push back on that. But it still feels strange talking about people who are just living and enjoying their lives. And because my videos get clipped and reposted in China without any of the nuance, I also worry locals will think I’m skipping the hard years — the unrest, the tension, the scrutiny. If I were them, I might think, “Who is this outsider to narrate our lives?” So I left it there. That night, back at the hotel, my barber (Ibrahim) messaged me. He’d looked up my videos. He thanked me for telling Xinjiang’s story. Then he asked if I wanted to go around the old Uyghur neighborhoods and get a drink. The next day I went back near the end of his shift. His boss was there too. We had a few drinks in the shop, then went bar-hopping — more whisky, hookah, a long night. We really hit it off. I’m heading back to Urumqi next week with a nice bottle of 15-year old whisky packed in my suitcase for them. We’re already planning the next night out. Cool shop with a unique man-cave vibe. Even cooler guys. I've made two great new lifelong friends here.
