Meet the Agent Editor: create and customize agents entirely from the UI or with a single slash command. Prompts, models, tools, MCPs, Skills policy, avatars. Easy mode to start, Advanced mode for control. Agent Zero v2.9 is out, here to simplify how you build custom agents.

The hottest job for the next five years is going to be the agent operator. They don't need to be an engineer. They can walk into marketing, legal, or life sciences research and actually make agents work for that function. Required skills: > MCPs > CLIs > Writing skills (the file kind) > agents.md fluency > Business acumen None of this is in any CS curriculum today. Soon, enterprises will be pressured to redesign their workflows for agents, not for people. And when that happens, agent operators will be in massive demand.

Most people don't know the difference between skills, subagents, and MCPs. Here's the simple breakdown: Skills: Written guides that tell the LLM exactly how to do a task "Analyze spreadsheets this way" or "write emails in this voice" Reusable. Consistent output. Subagents: Extra copies of the LLM, each with its own job - You review code. - You write tests. - You update docs. Work happens in parallel. Stays organized. MCPs: - Universal power plug for external tools - Need to update Linear tickets? Access your database That's MCP. Think: - Skills = how to do something - Subagents = who does what (in parallel) - MCPs = what tools you can reach Play around with all three. That's where it clicks.

99% of AI engineers still don't know about Claude skills. Andrew Ng just dropped a 2 hour course with Anthropic on building AI agentic skills from scratch. • 00:00 - build agentic skills with Claude • 22:29 - Claude pre-built skills • 41:04 - skills vs MCP and subagents • 1:06:03 - skills for long running agents • 1:51:59 - live demo to build agentic skills Prompting is dead. Claude skills is how top engineers build AI agents now. I watched it last night. Halfway through, I realized I have been using Claude completely wrong for years. #AI is coming for your jobs. You can debate it all you want but that’s the reality. Apart from learning how to build skills alone, learn how to build services and products that AI can’t offer. I told you first.
