quick fable prototype: a 'magic canvas' with browser tabs, text and 'magic sheets' that fill with whatever is described. here, i'm dragging restaurant names off a webpage and dropping them on a magic sheet that maps them

(it's sped up a lot, btw)

this is very cool - have you seen what @zan2434 @eddiejiao_obj and @drewocarr built a few months ago fundamentally very different mechanics (pixels out), but I suspect the future of dynamic canvases will be a combination or synthesis of these and other approaches I do think there will be a threshold jump in percieved and realized capability of the systems we already have once these are performant. the next bicycle for the mind!

I think you might check this project

@round Yes

Reminds me of @steveruizok tldraw

Dynamic Land on a screen

Reminds me of Arc Easels somewhat

can a sheet go back to the page it came from? hours or a booking needs the session.

hi Claude!

@eddiejiao_obj

reminds me a bit :)

@round I love it! What if the sheets were almost like cards… they could be organized, rearranged, perhaps even hyper linked together… ✨

@round This is quite cool!

interesting. been designing a canvas with Lair and there's certainly a lot of strange possibilities with ai capability thrown into the mix

Cool

loved the concept

that loading animation tho 😵💫

noticed this too. the magic sheets become much more useful once the generated map is editable as structured data, not only pixels. a copy-to-notion or csv export would turn the prototype from a clever canvas into something people can actually keep using.

Turning loose browser tabs into things you can actually move and shape feels like the missing step.

hey

Interesting idea

this is cool! would be cool to learn how your handling the browser on a canvas build out. have been exploring this and it’s been tricky

the drop target carrying the intent is the good part here, you never have to phrase anything. the thing i'd watch is how someone learns what a sheet accepts before they drag, since a wrong drop will read as broken rather than a wrong ask.

nate, anthropic looks really good on u :)

Dragging restaurant names onto a sheet that turns itself into a map is a nice inversion — the container decides what it becomes instead of you picking a widget first. Wondering what happens when you drop something the sheet can't interpret.

it’s @moodboardmd not magic canvas! 😉

I'm confused, what's happening there when you drag the descriptions?
