For years i've had this vision for a synchronous reactive ORM with offline support and realtime syncing to other clients. This is the holy grail of state management IMO and i'm finally building it using mobx and yjs. I know that's a mouthful so let me explain: synchronous - there's no promises to deal with and therefore no loading states which leads to much cleaner frontend code. reactive - imagine signals/observables that you can mutate and they will trigger your components to rerender and also will immediately propagate to other users' devices. ORM - what i've made is not an ORM, but it looks and feels like one where you define Models and then you interact with instances of those models. offline/syncing - this is done through yjs, a CRDT implementation, and websockets. CRDTs power many modern collaborative multiplayer tools like figma.

not sure why nobody is talking about this but Google Omni is insane at video editing Original Video (left) vs Omni Edited Video (right) everyone is comparing it to Seedance and missing the point completely. Seedance is for generating videos from scratch. Google Omni is for editing videos that already exist. which are two completely different use cases this is like when Nano Banana 1 first came out and nobody realized how big it was going to be. this is the first AI that can actually properly edit videos.. i've generated a few hundred videos with this model and it can do literally any type of edit you can think of. changing voices, swapping characters, removing watermarks, adding captions, transitions, pop ups, whatever. if you can describe the edit you want it can do it this completely crushes every other model on the market when it comes to video editing. nothing else even comes close right now and this is just the flash model. imagine what the pro version is going to be able to do when it drops in a couple months this should have way more hype than it's getting..

Maybe I’m missing something, but what does it matter where he works? It shouldn’t matter if he’s full or part time since he’s still in high school, but at least he’s working and making money instead of being out there in the streets. Ok so I was actually working on this so my wife would let me keep Linux on this 2-in-1 tablet PC. Completely vibe coded but it borrows the same philosophy where SUPER + SHIFT + Key is for applications while SUPER + CTRL + Key is for system stuff (btop, bluetooth, etc) - i.e., separation of concerns. Here it's 1 finger for scrolling within the app, 2 fingers for rearranging the windows, 3 fingers for app-level manipulation like fullscreen, dismiss, etc. 4 fingers for workspaces. Same "just sit down and learn it bitch" UX but actually quite good and better than iOS once you get used to it. Just a first pass though - I should really join the Discord and see if someone else is working on this. I'm not sure if this should land in Hyprland or as an Omarchy plugin. And no I'm not trying to make a political statement, that's just an awesome mouse pad. Recorded this video earlier to show my wife lol.

✨ Grok's new Imagine video model also comes with an Edit model We know edit models for images, you submit an image, write a prompt what to change, but this is the first time I've seen a proper edit model for video And it kinda works, not great yet though but it does something Here I had to remove the old name "Nomad List" in the video for my site First it said "Go nomad -> Nomad List", so I prompted it "remove the text Nomad List. do not change anything else", it didn't remove it but it replaced it with just "Go nomad" again, okay good enough Useful because otherwise I'd have to scour my backups for the original video in Final Cut Pro, and this is faster One thing you see is it changes the pattern on the door also, but that's okay for now if I fade it in
