Quit driving on flooded roads!

Arizona has a law known as the "Stupid Motorist Law" that holds drivers financially responsible for the cost of their rescue if they drive around barricades and into flooded roadways, becoming stranded.

Dumbasses put our first responders in harms way 🤬

I grew up near a creek, every winter it would flood and every winter we’d get folks walking up the driveway and we’d go pull them out. Every winter, I never understood it.

Flooded roads are dangerous for sure. What is equally hazardous is driving on roads after flooding. The undermining can land you in a sinkhole or a collapsed bridge.

I accidentally drove into a flooded low spot in the road after dark back in the 80s in TX. I will never drive into water that I can see!
