Qullamaggie on The Problem with Pradeep's Methods “That’s the problem with Pradeep’s method. Like, not every stock is created equal, okay? This is why I use ADR. Like something like NET would be considered a breakout. It’s up more than 4%. Its ADR is 5%, so this would be... show more

Pradeep 4% breakout applies to most stocks under $40. Higher price stocks he relies more on dollar break out.

Except Pradeep qualifies C as a high priced stock therefore it’s a dollar breakout and not a 4% breakout

I’ve been watching your recent posts trashing other strategies, specifically @PradeepBonde 's and @markminervini 's, and I wanted to share a perspective from the venture and tech side of things. In my world, we build and invest based on solid probabilities. We know a strategy that's right 85% of the time is elite; we don’t expect 100% because that doesn't exist in the markets or in business. Pointing out the few times a peer’s strategy doesn't work doesn’t really add value for your followers, it just creates noise. As a founder, I’ve learned that your brand is your biggest asset. High-level pros trashing other high-level pros usually just ends up making the whole community look smaller. You’re both clearly successful and have found your edge. I’d love to see you get back to the high-signal trading content you’re known for. There’s enough room in the market for everyone to win. Cheers

Pradeed would use in this case the dollar breakout ! And then common sense

Stockbee (Pradeep) has dollar breakout (90 cent Up from previous day with proper context) method to trade high price stock (>60) to trade this type of stocks. This is not true anymore. @PradeepBonde

The thing i hate most about fintweet is that people think their way is best. Who cares who downstairs like your strategy or think it's not practical. Only thing that matter is if that strategy is working for you. We hold too many people on pedestals and take their word as law.

Pradeep uses 2 screens for breakout - 4% for fast movers and $1 for higher priced slower stocks in addition to volume and price. This synopsis by KQ is wrong. Pradeep actually prefers the $ breakouts as his account is bigger.

Thanks for the nugget! 🙏 PS: for all the comments “defending” the strategies against KQ’s review: Are you trading to make money or being right? In this particular case my actionable take away would be to use the 4% for stocks with ADR>4. Great observation on efficiency from KQ.

Love your commentary 👍🏻

% is stock dependent so it won’t generalize Easy as that… no need for such a big explanation by Kq

This actually makes a lot more sense than using one fixed rule for every stock. Still learning, but context seems everything.

100% high adr adds edge.

Hi @lonextrades i would like to ask a question. Did you understand that does @Qullamaggie sells all his position after 3-5 days if it negative? Or he sells only 1/2-1/3 in loss and trail the remaining with 10-20ma?
