Sure does make one think.I don’t think a lot of people can handle that. Applying that to the things going on in our culture like the satanic statue, abortion child trafficking etc. God knows,He’s permitting it. His ways are not our way that is for sure and yet he is still good!

Pretty much. Not sure why Christians have such a hard time with this very simple, yet very biblical truth.

I think a key component to understanding this is understanding God's sovereignty and trusting in that rather than what we see.

I miss that man. When living.....he had forgotten more than I will ever learn. What if God, wanting to show His wrath and to make His power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath prepared for destruction, ROM 9:22

I very rarely disagree with my late friend RC Sproul on anything, but he is wrong here. Entirely. Scripture never records that evil, sin, transgressions, iniquity as being rooted or ordained by God. Calamity, trials, judgment, sickness, etc. yes. God ordains the punishment or the chastening against the pagan or the believer for rebellion or disobedience against Him and/or His Word. But He does not cause, ordain, or author, etc the crime, the transgressions, the iniquity, or the sin. Consider James 1:13-15; Romans 3:10-18; Ephesians 2:1-3; Titus 3:3; Psalm 115:4-8; Jeremiah 7:30-34, 19:4-9, 32:34-35. One proof positive is that he does not define his assertions with God’s Word. I love my brother… but RC knows better.
