This led us down such a fun rabbit hole. The Manifesto is a good read indeed. Not crazy about where some have taken it given one of Donna Haraway's core arguments was that we ought to drop identity politics in favor of spergy adhocracies around our interests, but c'est la vie.

🎤 Before the voice, understand the position. I speak as Pi-Man. Not to shine. Not to take space. But to introduce the one who built the space itself. What you’re about to hear is not a character, not a myth, not a slogan. This is TheFounder000 speaking, the founder of the Hidden PiVerse. He didn’t build for attention. He didn’t build for price. He built in alignment with the Core Team’s vision: truth before noise, systems before markets, coherence before hype. Everyone has already forgotten about one of the best and most public appearances of an anomalous orb. It appeared during the Platinum Jubilee, the last one of Queen Elizabeth II. The white orb appeared in the middle of the air show. The debunkers say it was a helium balloon. Yeah right. They are hazardous and dangerous for planes, especially during air shows. Plus, in the official 10-hour footage, not a single helium balloon is visible. Also, this orb changed direction and speed! The orbs are the core of the UAP phenomenon, and they have appeared since the beginning of recorded history. They are not a new phenomenon, and they are deeply intertwined with humanity! This is a rabbit hole you will never find anywhere else or on any other account on X! (1/8)🧵

There are some who doesn't get the point of pushing a popularity poll and may see no value in it at all. They'll say it's a waste of time and money. On the surface level, people would probably think of this KWDA award as an opportunity to just claim another trophy that looks like a shampoo bottle. However, what many don't realize are the things we gain along the way as we commit to get that shampoo bottle. Unity and fandom solidarity. Things that we never thought we would have because of how we started, which then became the attributes that made us the fandom that our idols can be proud of. It makes us look back at how we began and the journey we had to get to where we are now. We first became casual fans of UNIS by witnessing their talents and charisma. We then started to stan as we got more exposed to their charm and gullible personalities. Eventually, many of us has decided to take roles and became essential pieces of this fandom as core fans. Now, we're finally diving even deeper in this rabbit hole to reach yet another level of dedication as fans that no other fandom in the entirety of KPOP history has ever reached before. EverAfters! 🐬🐬🐬PI NETWORK NEWS: Pi Network and the 100 Apps Ready for Mainnet: Understand Clearly, Wait Patiently, and Build Together 1. Frequently Asked Question: “Where Are the Promised 100 Apps?” As Pi Network progresses toward a truly decentralized blockchain ecosystem, the community naturally wonders: Where are the 100 decentralized applications (dApps) that were promised to be ready for Mainnet? This is a perfectly valid question, showing the community’s interest in the pace of ecosystem development and the role of the Pi Core Team in driving innovation. 2. The Pi Core Team Doesn’t Build Everything – The Community Is the Heart of the Ecosystem The key point to understand is: Pi Network is a community-driven project. The Pi Core Team is not responsible for building all the apps. Their focus is on building the infrastructure, tools, and a safe environment – empowering external developers to independently create and deploy applications. Pi provides: - An optimized blockchain platform for mobile devices - SDKs, APIs, and developer documentation - A governance model that encourages innovation 3. Early Stage: Community-Built dApps – Underfunded But Passionate In the early stages, many applications were created by passionate pioneers, self-funded and full of creativity. However, due to budget limitations, most of these apps remained in experimental or prototype form, not yet ready for wide-scale deployment. Despite their early-stage nature, these apps played a crucial role in demonstrating Pi's blockchain potential and encouraging broader developer engagement. 4. A New Turning Point: $100 Million Ecosystem Fund and Pi Network Ventures A major change has arrived: Pi Network Ventures and a $100 million ecosystem fund have officially launched. This brings: - Strong financial support to upgrade promising apps - Opportunities to scale and enhance advanced features - Marketing assistance, user acquisition support, and long-term sustainability This is a decisive push paving the way for a wave of high-quality dApps ready for Mainnet. 5. A Diverse, Decentralized Ecosystem Built by the Community The Pi Core Team does not control everything but builds the foundation for an open ecosystem, where developers, entrepreneurs, and the community play leading roles. This decentralization helps to: - Increase application diversity - Avoid reliance on a single entity - Encourage collaboration and innovation from many directions 6. 100+ Apps Will Soon Arrive – And It’s More Than Just a Number As funding, tools, and community momentum converge, an app explosion is predictable: More than 100 dApps ready for Mainnet will soon emerge, spanning areas like: - Decentralized finance (DeFi) - Gaming (GameFi) - Social media - Supply chain - Payments, asset management, and more This will expand Pi’s real-world utility, attract more users, and strengthen Pi Network’s position in the Web3 space. 7. Why Patience and Cooperation Are Essential Building a global-scale blockchain ecosystem does not happen overnight. It requires: - Solid technology - Passionate development teams - A resilient and collaborative community - Time for products to mature and prove their value The patience and contributions of pioneers like you are the driving force of this journey. 8. A Broad Vision: Web3 and Social Impact The future of Pi Network is not just about technical platforms: It is about a connected ecosystem with social and economic impact, serving billions of people, not just a privileged few. With a focus on inclusive, meaningful, user-friendly applications, Pi is preparing for a fair and inclusive Web3 future. ✅Conclusion: 100+ Apps – Not Just an Empty Promise, But a Realization in Progress The question “Where are the 100 apps?” is fair. But more importantly, you need to know that: - The infrastructure is ready - The funding is available - The community is building continuously And you – the pioneer – are part of the answer. Be patient, collaborate, and support the developers and fellow pioneers. Because the future of Pi Network does not belong to just a few, it belongs to all of us working together.🐬🐬🐬 ------------------------- 🥰 P.S.: The Global GCV Core Team welcomes pioneers from around the world to work together to build a strong GCV-based Pi economy. 🔁 REPOST, recorded June 2024. Everything Luke Dashjr warned about is happening right now. Luke Dashjr - Is Bitcoin In A Civil War? Three or four entities decide what goes into every Bitcoin block. Most "miners" don't even know what they're mining. And if too few of us run nodes, Bitcoin quietly becomes a CBDC. The Bitcoin Core developer who caught the accidental 2013 hard fork before it broke the network came on to explain why mining is dangerously centralized, why the spam wave is a coordinated attack, and why he built a pool to fight back. Luke Dashjr, Bitcoin Core developer with 200+ contributions and maintainer of the BIPs, founder and CTO of Ocean, and the man who detected and helped stop the 2013 chain split, joins me to lay out the fight over Bitcoin's future in plain English: the difference between a real miner and a "hasher" who just sells compute, how three or four pools (really Bitmain) control what goes in every block, the invisible tax hiding inside FPPS, why he calls the spam wave a funded attack to destroy Bitcoin, why Bitcoin becomes a CBDC if too few of us run our own nodes, whether we are already in a civil war, and how Ocean is trying to hand block construction back to miners. Send this to anyone who thinks Bitcoin mining is decentralized. Send this to anyone who thinks Bitcoin mining is decentralized. TIMESTAMPS: 00:00 Intro 01:50 Who is Luke Dashjr 04:09 The rabbit hole: his first patch in 2011 06:06 When Bitcoin became essential (there's no plan B) 10:09 Eligius: the first non-custodial mining pool 12:13 Why he started Ocean 13:50 The real consequences of pool centralization 16:34 Hasher vs miner: who actually mines? 18:36 How FPPS pays you, and what it hides 20:05 Why big pools become proxies for Bitmain 22:35 The launch, and why "censorship" became the word 24:49 What Bitcoin is actually built for 26:40 How to define spam 33:06 "The people behind the spam are out to destroy Bitcoin" 34:47 How the attack gets funded by gamifying it 37:13 Is this an existential threat? 38:48 Run a node, or Bitcoin becomes a CBDC 40:09 Bootstrapping a mining pool from zero 45:40 What non-miners can actually do to help 46:31 Should Bitcoin ossify, or keep upgrading? 49:24 How censorship-resistant is Bitcoin today? 50:00 Is Bitcoin already in a civil war? 51:10 Would the good guys still win a block size war today? 55:53 Ocean's roadmap: decentralizing block construction 1:00:07 How Ocean got its name (Jack Dorsey's nudge) 1:01:53 Do we have a problem in Bitcoin culture? 1:03:22 What Bitcoin means to Luke 1:07:11 The clause: Ocean can do no harm to Bitcoin 1:08:10 Where to find Luke + OCEAN 🎧 Then watch the sequel with Hardfork Kratter, The The Bitcoin Matrix Podcast ⚡️ #279: "Bitcoin Core Has Gone Rogue." 🎧

Today I sit down with my friend James Beshara - founder of Magic Mind, angel investor in 150+ companies (Mercury, Alchemy, Gusto, Halo Top), and a Dallas native who built Tilt and sold it to Airbnb. James spent two years tinkering with Magic Mind before he ever called it a business. Today it's a $100M CPG brand and the #1 health shot in natural retail - run with 10 employees, no Slack, almost no meetings, and a founder-CEO split he calls the Palmer Lucky lane. He is also one of the more thoughtful people I know on the question every operator eventually wrestles with: what to build, when to build it, and how to know whether you are actually wired for it. We discuss: - How Magic Mind got to $100M with 10 employees, no Slack, and almost no meetings - The Palmer Lucky lane - how to be a founder without being the CEO - Why scratching your own itch beats chasing big ideas on a notepad - His biggest miss as an angel investor - the OpenAI seed round, what one investor calculated as the equivalent of 30 Googles - Wave selection - why standing still is sometimes the highest-leverage move in business - The Bhagavad Gita and surrendering into a duty-bound existence - Apt - the new company he sat on for seven years before building it You can receive 50% using the code POWERS50 at Magic Mind: Apt: Timestamps 04:30 Where Can You Be Most Uniquely Useful? 10:02 The Nootropics Rabbit Hole 15:49 Wave Selection as a Business Philosophy 18:14 Retention is King 29:02 Asynchronous-First Company Culture 41:30 Magic Mind's Core Values 45:53 Cracking the Meta/Instagram Algorithm 52:22 Scaling Beyond E-Commerce 1:07:29 Founders are Sleeping on the Power of Encouragement 1:20:28 The Bhagavad Gita, Lion King & Duty 1:30:10 Surrendering to a Duty-Bound Existence

WAIT… PALWORLD HAS A FARMING SIM COMING SOON?! I went down the PALFARM rabbit hole, and the more I looked into it, the more I felt like this is a test for something much bigger. (based on everything i’ve been reading, the community seems pretty split. a lot of people are calling it “animal crossing with pals,” while others think pocketpair is spreading itself too thin. from what i found, that’s not really what’s happening. palfarm is being built by a separate team, which fits the broader strategy of expanding the palworld ecosystem without pulling the core team away from the main game) Now, the more I thought about it, the more it reminded me of what Nintendo did with Mario. Mario didn’t become one of the biggest gaming franchises in the world because Nintendo kept making the same game over and over. They experimented by introducing games like Mario Kart, Mario Party, Mario Tennis, Mario Golf, Mario Strikers, Paper Mario, Mario RPG, Dr. Mario, and Luigi’s Mansion. None of those games replaced the mainline Mario titles. They introduced the same characters to completely different audiences and proved the IP could succeed in more than one genre. I’m not saying Palworld is the next Mario lol. What I’m saying is that the strategy feels very similar. Instead of asking, “How do we make Palworld 2?” it feels like Pocketpair is asking, “What other experiences can we build around this universe?” When you zoom out, the pieces start fitting together. You have the survival game, the TCG, Palworld Online, Palfarm, merchandise, licensed collaborations, publishing, and a growing ecosystem around the IP. (maybe i’m completely reading into this, but the more i research pocketpair, the clearer the strategy becomes. i genuinely think they have a real shot at becoming one of the most influential indie studios in the industry if they play their cards right)
