In the CW cartoon, there was one Hutt who could speak English... The media focuses on a black young man's legal (but obviously stupid) gun promotion more than they focus on Republican politicians' gun promotion because of systemic RACISM. It ain't hard. But we can level the playing field. 👇 Look, Ja Morant is stupid. A terrible role model. He should be punished by the NBA for reckless gun promotion. But it's even more important for NRA-owned politicians like Texas Governor Greg Abbott and Tennessee Rep Andy Ogles to be punished by voters for their reckless gun promotion. Until Abbott and these other sick GOP politicians see the same consequences that young black men face, they’ll just keep taking the NRA money. And the consequences of their gun promotion are far more devastating than anything Ja Morant could do. But right now, NBA players are more afraid of NBA management than politicians are afraid of voters. Let's change that.

Ok, I’ve had it. I feel like I’m living in bizarro world, and this is why the NBA MVP is now meaningless. Last night Luka Doncic became the first player in NBA history to put up a stat line of - 40+ Points, 10+ Assists, 5+ Rebounds, 5+ Threes, and 0 Turnovers So today the media ignores that, and an MVP voter (Chris Broussard) proclaims that Shai doesn’t have to campaign for the MVP award, because he is “cool”. However, Luka Doncic, because he isn’t “cool” dropped in ranking, by not begging for the award. The reason?? Because an activist MVP voter that writes for the NBA, moved Wembanyama to #1 on his list, after campaigning for the award. Not for his play, but because of an embarrassing speech he gave to the media. So we ignore the historic month that Luka Doncic just had to make the MVP race about THIS. By the way, what makes Shai so “cool” Chris Broussard that he’s exempt from your imaginary benchmark?? Is it because he’s a white European?? If that’s the case, at least have the guts to say it. They’re admitting right in front of your face that it doesn’t matter what Luka Doncic does on the court, they will find any dumb reason to not vote for him, then laugh about it on TV. Kendrick Perkins say Utah is one of his least favorite NBA road trips, largely because everything shuts down early and the city feels like a "ghost town" by 9 PM Gary Owen : When you get the NBA schedule, what city do you least want to see? Kendrick Perkins : If you’re not playing in New York, that’s the first city you circle because you want to go. Gary Owen : So where don’t you want to go? Sacramento? Kendrick Perkins : Sac’s cool. I’d say Utah. Gary Owen : Really? Kendrick Perkins : Yeah. Everything shuts down by like 9 PM. It’s a ghost town. One time I was there with Glen Davis. He wanted to go to a club. We got there, and it wasn’t even a club. It was just a bar that only served beer. Then we ran into referee Bill Kennedy just sitting there having a drink. I was like, “Yeah… I’m going back to the hotel.” Gary Owen : So you didn’t like Utah? Guest 2: I’m gonna stay quiet on that one. Gary Owen : You liked playing there? Richard Jefferson: Actually, yeah. There wasn’t much to do except basketball, so the arena was always packed. I was happy as long as I could find a good steakhouse and a casino. Gary Owen : So what’s the worst city? Richard Jefferson : Due to my contractual agreements, I’m not saying anything negative about any city. Kendrick Perkins : I don’t even think about the bottom cities. The ones I looked forward to were New York, Miami, LA, Chicago, and Toronto.
