It’s not just the Met it’s every police force in the country. This is why I never reported the hate crimes I suffered apart from the last one when I was persuaded against my better judgement. Now I’m retired I just stay at home, it’s safer.

Disbanding the Met can be done. Was done to the RUC after the Chris Patten report. Doesn't fix everything, but at least some of the worst elements gone.

Heartbreaking for the people who have been let down by the Met. Heartbreaking too that austerity imposed by successive Tory governments has played it's part in this. Failed by the Met, failed by the Tories.

It's not just the Met though is it? Channel 4 News report on West Midlands Police suggest it's happening there. If it's in the 2 of the largest forces, then where else?

When a Government has defunded police service in such a deliberate way it isn't just the Met who have this problem it is every single police force in the country?

Has to be broken up. Anything less is completely unacceptable. Enough
