The main Talanta City stadium doesn’t have a running track because it will be a football and rugby-only stadium. However, there are three mini-stadia, one of which has a running track and 1,500 seats, and can host Athletics as well as small football/rugby games. With additional bleachers, this is enough for a sevens rugby leg, some school games, Kenya Cup games etc

The state-of-the-art facility has moved a step closer to homologation following the visit. With Zimbabwe currently lacking any CAF-approved stadium, the venue is positioned to fill that gap once certification comes through. Should the green light be given, Shepherd Chahwanda Stadium would take on hosting duties for the Warriors' 2027 AFCON qualifying campaign, set to kick off in September.
