Rain admits to network struggles, defends pricing model in Parliament Rain South Africa has acknowledged ongoing issues with its network quality, describing the situation as a “headache” during a presentation to Parliament’s Portfolio Committee on Communications and Digital Technologies on Thursday. “Every single day we are trying to get... better,” said a Rain representative. “We understand our limitations, and we are constantly working to improve.” Responding to criticism about the cost of Rain’s services, the representative argued that the company offers unmatched value particularly for households. “We believe we are providing the best value in the market. Our products are geared toward home connectivity, not just for individuals looking for a gig or two. I started using rain while I was l staying in Soweto. It was horrible. But not as worse as Vodacom. I went to rain bcos Vodacom WiFi was simply not working at my area Then I moved to Alberton, I'm easily streaming 4K videos on my rain WiFi I'm paying R570

At least rain isn't geo-locked and doesn't have fishy fair usage policies. Only issue is pricing and connectivity. Especially in rural areas. If rain was as cheap as mtn and had connectivity. Mtn would lose customers same way as Dstv.

There is a massive lie at the heart of the illegal immigration debate in the U.K. we are constantly told we cannot deport people or hold them offshore due to the ECHR and if we leave that problem will go away.That’s a lie. The EU have just voted in the European Parliament to pass MUCH tougher and faster deportation laws than we have here AND to be able to hold and process those migrants offshore. Yet every one of those countries are inside the EU, so how can they do it if we can’t? The truth is that is nothing to do with law and simply to do with will. Our governments, our home office, our civil service, our lawyers and particularly our judiciary do not WANT to resolve the situation. The Eu returned 20% of all illegal immigrants yet at that level said the system was broken & brought in tougher measures. In the U.K. we return an utterly pathetic 4%😳 and even then 71% of that 4% were Albanians. It’s a farce, it’s a joke and it’s nothing to do with the ECHR, it’s because our entire establishment are cowards and traitors. It can be changed overnight if we had somebody strong enough to do it.
