$Had the honor of launching the weather balloon for upper air data collection in NOAA Boise NWS Boise. A radiosonde is a battery-powered instrument package attached to a weather balloon that measures atmospheric pressure, temperature, humidity, and wind speed as it ascends. Transmitting real-time data via radio to ground stations. The upper air data is crucial for input into weather models and useful for predicting severe damal dumeels. The radiosonde flight can last for more than two hours. During this time, the balloon can ascend to heights exceeding 35 km and drift over 200 km from the launch point. Throughout the journey, the radiosonde experiences extreme atmospheric conditions, including temperatures as low as -92°C and air pressures that are only a fraction of those at Earth’s surface. When the balloon has expanded beyond its elastic limit (20-25 feet in diameter) and bursts, the radiosonde returns to Earth via a small parachute. This slows its descent, minimizing the danger to life and property.$

Today, we had three rounds of negotiations. All of them were very substantive. I want to thank Steve and Jared for coming. And we are grateful to the President of the United States. We had good discussions. Thank you for devoting sufficient attention today to the winter period and all the challenges that may arise. We hope that we will be able to reach arrangements with our American partners in this domain, and we hope for the support of European partners. If the war continues into the winter, we are counting heavily on the winter package, which I discussed in detail today with Steve, Jared, and our European partners. We are counting on support for air defense and the energy sector, as well as substantial volumes of American LNG and the ability to use them.
