Not only Aamir Khan, but even 3 Idiots director Rajkumar Hirani had clarified long ago that Rancho wasn’t based on Sonam Wangchuk. Hirani said the character was shaped by his own experiences at FTII and by several people he met during that phase. So why did Sonam Wangchuk repeatedly take credit for inspiring the character? Looks like the real-life “Ranchoddas Chanchad.” 🤣

INTERVIEWER : Aamir Khan says he never met Sonam Wangchuk and that 3 Idiots had nothing to do with you. SONAM WANGCHUK : Haha… our meeting did happen. When Aamir Khan met me to discuss 3 Idiots, he was shooting for Ghajini. So maybe he lost his memory 15 minutes after meeting me 😂

Sonam Wangchuk absolutely roasted Aamir Khan. 😭🔥 Prakhar Gupta: Aamir Khan says he never met Sonam Wangchuk and that 3 Idiots had nothing to do with Sonam. What do you have to say about that? Sonam Wangchuk: Our meeting did happen. When Aamir met me to discuss 3 Idiots, he was shooting for Ghajini. So maybe he lost his memory 15 minutes after meeting me. After all he’s the kind of actor who gets so deep into his roles that he becomes the character he’s playing.

AMITABH BACHCHAN –– Was Amir Khan's role in 3 idiots inspired by you? SONAM WANGCHUK 🔥 –– "The movie was not based on me but yes Amir Khan's role was inspired and motivated by my real life story" And Amir Khan has audacity to say he didn't know who Sonam Wangchuk was while shooting for the movie 🤣 Also note that filmmakers used Sonam Wangchuk's school for shooting the climax scene of the movie

Omi Vaidya the guy who played Chatur Ramalingam’s character in 3 Idiots a movie based on Sonam Wangchuk has come out in his support. While Aamir Khan, who made millions playing his character is too scared to even say a word. Reel life Villains are almost always heroes in real life 👏
