I remember seeing the movie in theatres awhile after it released and seeing the video Dan made saying he was gonna be in it, and was disappointed when it was the other guy's voice 😭 (I was 10 and don't think it clicked that it was a regional VO)

that's a pretty good voice for the character. and i get this movie was terrible, but the fact i never heard about this until now means it at least wasn't a big stunt casting. nice :)

Honestly I think it's stupid when they redub animated movies for the British people or the other people in Europe too. I mean US and UK are both pure English. I even hate when they redub the Paw Patrol characters in their movies. It just feels unnessary.

Reminder, Dan is FAR more popular in the west than he is in Britain. Why the hell he wasn’t just the general English va is beyond me. The concept of dubbing British accents for Americans is fucking stupid cause we speak the same language y’all. Just WASTING money here.

It's one of four films featuring two characters enjoying the good weather: Joe, complete with a handkerchief on his head, and his bespectacled wife, Pertunia, who has a tongue like Gene Simmons from Kiss! Joe was voiced by Peter Hawkins (Bill & Ben, etc) and Wendy Craig voiced the first three films as Pertunia, followed by Bridget Forsyth. The films were made by the same people who brought us Willo the Wisp! Bit of Public Information Film trivia for you. Did you know that Charley the cat from the Charley Says series, was voiced by Kenny Everett! Toodlepip.
