Now there will be some people who will bash you because you didn’t call him a god. they would not have gotten the nuance of what you were trying to tell. God come down to earth in the form of human being to set an example of how you should live life and became an inspiration for millions to follow is really the key takeaway here. Now you can call him God, or an inspirational figure of whatever it is that that allows you to emulate him as much as you can. Hope people take away this message.

This is what a normal human being testifying sounds like at trial. Rob Adelson called his Mom Donna Adelson when they made arrests in the murder of Dan Markel. Donna responded that "she had to go." They never spoke again. Clearly he is distraught sharing this testimony. The face of normal human in pain. The face of somebody with normal empathy and human qualities retained.

Mark does not give us the details we find in Matthew and Luke, but we do hear this mysterious observation: “He was among wild beasts, and the angels ministered to him.” We are given here a kind of icon of the union of the spiritual and the material, the soul and the body, in the human being—both the glory and the agony of human life. And a really good way to pray through Lent is reflecting on our own struggles in light of that icon.
