I did enjoy the demo. If I could make one suggestion, it's that the heroine doesn't need to express every single thought aloud. "That key turned with a satisfying click!" stood out for instance.

Really appreciate that! Yeah, it’s a tough line to tread, since that’s the culmination of a puzzle chain and we also want to try and build up certain moments more—but we’ll definitely factor that in going forward!

@sinto_j Mirren certainly owes a lot to Triss (and the whole Redwall series)! But she’s very much her own character with her own hurdles to clear over the story :)

You guys should animate a scene from Mina the Hollower or something, Bluth was clearly an inspiration for both of you.

This kinda reminds me of the game series Banner Saga. I love animation style games.

This smacks of something that was made by at least someone who loves quest for glory. Dope.

We were huuugely inspired by Quest for Glory for this :) We loved the feeling of getting lost and slowly unraveling how the world is interconnected—so the forest map in the game will be super evocative of Mordavia in QfG4 for example.

Well I’m sold. Keeping an eye on this now.

We haven’t had a chance to check out De Cape at de Crocs but that looks fantastic! And Redwall was of course a huge inspiration for the whole Western Deep aesthetic :)

Did I just see a scene from The Secret of NIMH?? That is one of my favorite Disney movies. I just watched it with my kids the other day. This game definitely looks inspired from that. I play on my PS5 so will it be coming to console? I do have a Steamdeck though 🤔

We're definitely planning to bring it to consoles! Our controller-first design was actually implemented with them in mind :)
