The authority he relies on does not permit him to unilaterally call in the National Guard. The statutory conditions precedent are not present here. There is also a statutory requirement that the order to activate the National Guard be issued through the governor of the state—in this case, Governor Gavin Newsom, who objected to the National Guard’s deployment and did not issue such an order. Therefore, we believe the Trump administration’s action is completely unlawful.

Their team is very small, his wife is at the general prosecutor’s office right now, they are awaiting to see what kind of charges they are going to make up. He’s saying that it’s critical for Trump to say something now bc if they don’t get any support from Trump Romania is going to fall and they will be sending troops to the Ukraine.
