Bad call. Helmet was to the shoulder and the man was fighting for yardage. That was after the obvious intentional helmet hit on Adams and the refs were screwing LA all day. Carolina scored 2 td's due to calls giving them easy field position to score.

Can’t lead with the helmet. By rule it’s a foul. And for those saying “what was he supposed to do?” The receiver was inches from the sideline, how about just pushing him out of bounds with your hands and arms?? He lowers his head and helmet to hit him.

It was a bullshit call. They were trying to even up the earlier call on the vicious helmet to face mask hit on Devante Adams by the Panthers Safety, which easily could have been ruled Targeting and a disqualification.

It was the same thing that happened to Adams so they were consistent with it
