Keaton Wagler’s lack of strength and athleticism, are my two biggest concerns for his translation to the NBA as an on-ball creator and I think it shows up on both ends. For a player who plays so methodically and embraces contact he doesn’t generate enough lift off of one foot. As a player who profiles as an under the rim finisher, his in-between game is severely underdeveloped (27.8% on far 2’s vs T100 comp). Defensively, even when he’s in the correct position, players are just able to go through him and he doesn’t have the lift to block shots despite a rumored 6’10 wingspan.
