Random ass sequence that had nothing to do with nothing turned out to be one of the best parts of Scary Movie 2

You’re probably too young to remember these commercials back on the day 🤣

not a chance

@BrowseHorror damn we had it so good 😭 remember and1 mixtapes?

@MMckenzie73 @BrowseHorror @grok what’s the name of the and1 documentary

@hekoya1 @MMckenzie73 @BrowseHorror It's "Untold: The Rise and Fall of AND1" on Netflix.

this bit in particular always kills me

nah fr Cindy’s lil dance always got me

I love this part

they hit that

Hit it so smooth too

It had something to do with something

not in the movie tho, that shi was random as hell. probably makes it even funnier for that reason tho lmao

Let’s not forget how dope the original Nike commercial was

for anyone that doesn’t know the original reference.

Nothing to do with nothing ???? Omg am I OLD?

Once upon a time...Madison Square advertising was worth every penny they earned.

This was a Parody of a Nike Commercial at the time.

It parodied a Nike commercial that starred NBA legend Jason Williams and a bunch of blacks

Isn’t this a Nike ad parody?

Actually pretty funny to think that anyone watching now doesn't get the reference - they were making fun of Nike and commercials running at the time. 😂

incorrect. it was based on a very popular nike commercial at the time of the film being out

This part fucking kills me LMAOOO😭😭😭💀

They were making fun a of popular Nike commercial at the time which is what the whole movie is about, making fun of popular things at the at the time.

Anyone as old as me knows that this was a homage to a very popular commercial and people lost it at this scene in the theaters.

Naruto getting ready to hit a Rasengan 🌐

They literally shot and added this at the last minute due to the popularity of the commercial the scene is parodying. I’m still amazed this got into the film that quickly.

It was a reference to a commercial 😂

"Nothing to do with nothing" Zoomer detected.

If the new Scary Movie doesn't have the same energy I'm gonna lose it 😂

Side note- my whole entire life i have thought that the white guy was Neil Patrick Harris… I just found out that he is in fact NOT Neil Patrick Harris.. crazy

A shame that since the humor in these type of parody films is usually topical, people who don't know the context will either get a mild chuckle out of it, or wonder what the hell it's supposed to mean.

Hahahah Shit Son

This sequence is a parody of a popular commercial at the time! These films have so many Easter eggs which is why it’s so successful. They made fun of so many different things across pop culture and pulled inspiration from everything that was current at the time.

Such a classic comedy scene. This movie is hilarious.

The whole movie theater was laughing hard as hell.. Those were the good ole days

for me the single best moment is when regina goes 'this is bones!'

Scary Movie 2 is the funniest movie of the trilogy. Idc abiut what anyone says

Nothing to do with nothing?

God I can’t even remember what the actual commercials were about, I just remember them like this lmao

It’s a spoof of a commercial that played constantly on tv.

It was a parody of a commercial

The basketball scene is a reference to 2 things. The start references the common horror trope of a ball bouncing down stairs as seen in The Changeling, then it smoothly transitions to a reference to an old Nike commercial.
