Spawning 1000 characters 🚶🚶🚶 Well not really, they are actually 1000 props with vertex animations. I was curious how it would work. I used an Unreal Engine plugin Vertex Animation Toolkit and adjusted it to output 2K textures. You can load in multiple animations and bake into 1 Vertex Animation Texture array. In this case 2 idle and 2 walk animations. Using Verse to play random animations and walk to random locations. FPS drops a bit at 1000 props, i could play with distance culling. Nanite needs to be turned off, somehow it breaks the mesh on close up. Can’t wait for 1000 player servers lol #UEFN #FortniteCreative

Here we have the iPhone 13 at 60hz vs S23 Ultra at 120hz. Notice the S23 Ultra has smoother transitions but the animations are bad because of it being non-linear. There's a difference between refresh rate and animations. Sure iPhone looked smooth because of the animations, but the S23 Ultra had more frames in the animations because of the higher refresh rate. But then Samsung messed up with its linear animations. Hopefully, with one UI 6, we see the non-linear animations coupled with 120hz.

Taking a few Toontuber commissions! It's basically a middle ground between PNGtubers and Vtubers! Unlimited expressions, inbetween animations when swapping, and canned anims! Prices starting at $1500 which includes making the art, animations, rig and code! (More details below)

Got the Phobos up and running around now! He can't hurt us right yet, but I am about to start working on some attack animations next.

A visual comparison of HTML-in-Canvas vs rasterizing DOM to a canvas texture (side-by-side below, compare average capture times) Existing approaches to pull web content into canvas are slow and lossy: - Animations glitch, or don't play at all - CSS replication is imprecise - Clogs up the main thread, other animations lag HTML-in-Canvas (texElementImage2D) lets the browser's own compositor map CSS layouts, animations, and transitions precisely into canvas/WebGL textures — one native call instead of thousands of JS style reads. It's currently available behind an experimental Chrome flag. Really cool, and I can't wait for it to become mainstream.

The character pipeline is moving forward: animations are now working. I lost some time because Codex occasionally switched GPT-5.6 Sol back to Light/Medium by default, and the difference in task execution was immediately noticeable. After switching back to GPT-5.6 Sol Ultra, progress was much smoother. Using animations from Mixamo, the character can now idle, walk, run and jump. Next: shoes, skin variations and different body types. Then I need to decide what this project should become: • A character generator website? • A reusable Codex skill? • An open-source GitHub repo? What would be the most useful?

Got animations in for Ghost Kid's jump, double-jump, hurt, and die states. I don't think i'll have time to implement an actual melee attack, so it'll just have to be stompin for now. Next priority is replacing that cube enemy

Just got back to it tonight and I got the rest of those animations all made up for the grab attack! I kept all the traces on here so we can see its attack range, and how its grab traces work too. So next I think it'll be time to get a death scene going for this guy!

Why would I waste my time on Genshin Impact when they're still recycling four-year-old animations? Just look at the cinematic differences between Wuthering Waves and Genshin Impact. After four years, they still don't have lip sync in Genshin Impact

I'm creating a next generation vtuber app where you can have your own ai companions to stream with you. You can import your own models and put a description and turn them into an AI companion. The AI companions have their own animations depending on what's happening! (1/2) This model was provided by Miya 👻🦈 <3
