@SweetieAkane It feels more phoned in and toned down all over. I rather they just do the latter parts of the manga that never got animated. C'mon David you can do so much better, wtf happened?

@SweetieAkane it’s sad ppl like the version that didn’t follow the manga, it’s another fruits basket situation, finally the remake follows the story but ppl don’t like it lol

there's just a charm the retro has that I cant get over. maybe once I finish the retro ill give the remake a shot

I see a lot of people complaining about the remake by only comparing animation in clips like this. The animation on the remake is also fantastic as well as how faithful of an adaptation it is. It's fine to love the original but nostalgia and style doesn't mean it's better.

@SweetieAkane ya know something i wish we got was martial arts baseball, i feel there's a lot of fun gimmicks and rules that could be in place to make the game both a challenge and a tough fight. Akane being the Pitcher, Ranma being the first baseman and lead hitter

I'm really trying to like the new one, but I can only like the color scheme..... and maybe some visual effects....

@SweetieAkane Never saw the old anime before, have to admit it has a lot of cosy charm - but I think the faster pace of the remake fits the comedic timing of the manga better. Plus Akane seems more hostile in the old anime? It's a matter of swings and roundabouts what you prefer....
