He did well despite people treating him like a criminal for something distasteful but not a crime. He represented as an influencer and did his job well.

It’s his once in a life time opportunity to compensate for the damage incurred by his toxic comedy/ roasting capabilities. He would have fallen over backwards to prove his loyalty to the govt / nation / establishment/ anything to redeem his lost public image
