So, does it matter that Bitcoin seems to be moving away from its cypherpunk roots? Bitcoin ETFs and Bitcoin Treasuries have taken BTC mainstream. So I asked Saifedean Ammous this very question. His answer might surprise you... 👀👇 "If you have very strong feelings about how people should and shouldn't use Bitcoin, you're in for a rough time." "To be honest, a lot of people project too much onto Bitcoin. Ultimately, it's just a bunch of software and anybody can use it in any way they want. Initially, it's a small subset of people that use it and then they start projecting their values onto it. And then over time, they expect it to continue to abide by that," Ammous said. "If it's a successful technology, it's going to be used by everybody. It's going to be used by small businesses, large businesses, governments, individuals. It's money. Everybody uses money. There are 8.5 billion people on Earth, they all use money and they're all going to continue to use money. And Bitcoin is just the best money." Ultimately, the protocol itself is immune to the financial instruments that TradFi has concocted. If people want to lend against their BTC or create complex financial products, that does not actually impact the underlying network. "The way that the protocol works is that it's completely blind to what you're doing with your coins on the Bitcoin blockchain there is no paper Bitcoin there's no such thing as paper Bitcoin there's only 21 million Bitcoin and every node makes sure of that every 10 minutes and then if somebody who has some of these Bitcoin on their private key decides to sell obligations or financial liabilities referring to that Bitcoin under any condition, that's their choice. It's outside of Bitcoin and it's outside of the realm of other Bitcoin users being able to say this is right or wrong and this should happen or shouldn't happen. People are going to do whatever they want with the Bitcoin, including selling access to it or exposure to it in all kinds of different ways. And if you don't like it, you don't buy it, you can stack your own Bitcoin." You can find the full interview for Cointelegraph in the 🧵. yeonjun's 2024 fortune ⭐️ "because of your unbreakable spirit that isn't easily swayed by anything, it'll be a year where you'll show strong mental strength that won't easy disrupt your self-balance. you won't change your mind about the direction of something once you've set your mind to do it. because of your personality that makes you do things consistently, you might hear from people that you're right minded and a man of integrity. since you are someone who is generally level headed and have the ability to understand things realistically, you'll be able to make good judgements and decisions. you don't really get tired of the same repetitive reality but even if you do feel tired or bored from it, you don't easily decide to move to your own place. this year, you will be able to secure a stronger position in your activities and on stage and you will have the opportunity to try out things that you had only imagined of. given this, you can carry out your plans to achieve all your grand goals. feeling the good luck that you haven't felt before, there might be a period where you feel a little lazy but once you humbly get through this period, you will be able fo take it as an opportunity. your diligence will stand out and you will get unexpected recognition from the people around you, making it possible for you to get the opportunity to focus on what you want. we hope that during this time, you'll be more meticulous and detailed than before while making yourself more competitive than other people. unlike previous years, it is a year with really great energy, where you'll be able to get things that others didn't think of and be able to use it first to your advantage to get opportunities."

Jensen Huang on how to convey your vision to employees: Question: "How you convey your vision to your employees and how you keep that sense of urgency in them so that they continue improving themselves?" Jensen: "So the question is how do I convey my vision to the employees and how do we convey a sense of urgency? First of all, you convey your vision the good old-fashioned way. And it's about telling a story. I'm not the best storyteller in the world, and I'm not the best, I don't enjoy public speaking, actually. And if you were to give me a choice right now between doing this versus just answering one of your emails, and I'll give you all my email address, you could all send me an email, and I'd be glad to respond to it. I'd rather do that. You know, I'm still an engineer, and I'm introverted by design, I guess. And I don't find myself particularly articulate. And so I don't enjoy the process of public speaking. But you have to force yourself to do it. It's for a good reason. It's for a good cause. I have to admit that speaking to my employees or speaking to NVIDIA's employees is the single most intimidating thing that I do. It freaks me out. And the reason for that is because I respect their time so much, and I know how important the meeting is, that in your own mind, the bar and the responsibility is extraordinary. But you have to put yourself, and I'm speaking to engineers here, you have to force yourself to communicate at a bigger picture level. You have to force yourself to practice. And it's something that over time you get better at. In terms of how do we communicate a sense of urgency? Just through action. They have to see that when I make decisions or when I do something or when something is near my field of influence, my scope of influence, that I do it with a sense of urgency. And it's amazing what that does. People simply pick up those habits from you. If your CEO works hard, you'll work hard. If your CEO cares, you'll care. If your CEO loves this company, you'll love this company. If your CEO is passionate about the work that we do, you'll be passionate about the work that we do. If your CEO does everything with an extraordinary sense of purpose and intensity and sense of urgency, you will too. It's amazing what happens when you're a leader of anything, whether you're a leader of a project team or, right? As I say that, you could almost everybody just, yeah, I get it. Leader of a project team or a leader of a lab team. The behavior and the values and the habits of that leader has an amazing way of rubbing off on everybody else."

The subject of 'owning a slave' is dense. It is something we hear a lot when we are in the FemDom Realm. Is it just fantasy? Can it actually be a lifestyle? How do we navigate this type of dynamic? How do we even get to that level of D/s? In this short clip [Exerpt from SLAVE TRAINING Part 2] I want to already bring to your attention one thing that will define if your desire for a slave (or desire as a slave) is touching more on a fantasy or... how can you actually navigate this in a realistic way. No one person 'can do it all' or should be expected to. If you want your slave to be 'the best' , assign them a specific role in which they can excel... and then build upon that. Once they 'master' your housekeeping (which takes quite a bit of real training), they can move to other levels. And an important note I want to leave here... make them EARN access to certain things in your life that sometimes you just want to delegate because you don't want to manage or don't know how to manage. Entrusting them with serious tasks that can affect your life, your business, your reputation, are on top of the ladder. Are they even qualified for the thing you want them to take off your shoulders? Start small and allow them to grow in their submission, to develop their skills and to learn how to best satisfy you without setting them up for failure by expecting too much, too quick. In the end, if you want this to truly work, you have to approach it from a place that transcends the roles. As this is consensual power exchange. And you both want to be fulfilled in that relationship.

To be a successful founder, you have to believe that what you're working on is going to work — despite knowing it probably won't! That sounds like an oxymoron, but it's really not. Believing that what you're building is going to work is an essential component of coming to work with the energy, fortitude, and determination it's going to require to even have a shot. Knowing it probably won't is accepting the odds of that shot. It's simply the reality that most things in business don't work out. At least not in the long run. Most businesses fail. If not right away, then eventually. Yet the world economy is full of entrepreneurs who try anyway. Not because they don't know the odds, but because they've chosen to believe they're special. The best way to balance these opposing points — the conviction that you'll make it work, the knowledge that it probably won't — is to do all your work in a manner that'll make you proud either way. If it doesn't work, you still made something you wouldn't be ashamed to put your name on. And if it does work, you'll beam with pride from making it on the basis of something solid. The deep regret from trying and failing only truly hits when you look in the mirror and see Dostoevsky staring back at you with this punch to the gut: "Your worst sin is that you have destroyed and betrayed yourself for nothing." Oof. Believe it's going to work. Build it in a way that makes you proud to sign it. Base your worth on a human on something greater than a business outcome.
