“Rapeseed oil” = Canola Oil Gosh, I think we just saw something where President Trump said don’t just re-title someone differently. Same not good concept, IMO.

My Grandma used to tell me to not eat seed oils particularly hydrogenated oil since the early 80’s. Was always told from my family rapeseed oil causes macular degeneration and should only be used as biodiesel due to not gelling at low temperatures. BTW my Grandma turns 100 soon!

You have it backwards canola oil is rape seed oil. The canola plant is genetically modified rapeseed. Rapeseed is poisonous

Hellmann’s and Duke’s scream “real mayo,” but flip the jar and it’s mostly cheap seed oil — soybean in the US, rapeseed in Europe — followed by water, egg, vinegar, and more blends. Even the “avocado oil” versions sneak in the industrial oils right behind the vinegar. Pure marketing bullshit. Our parents never ate this version. Pompa’s right: the only good options are the rare clean jars — or just make your own in two minutes with actual avocado or olive oil and real eggs. Anyone else get fed up when “healthy” or “real” labels lie this blatantly?
