so they made rapid reloadable, clip fed, lightweight, smoke grenade launchers... Am I the only one that is confused as to why this wasn't a thing before? I mean I know they HAVE launchers on military vehicles, but this seems like a really simple retrofit for survivability considering drone warfare...

Military: we need a way to make smoke for cover. Germans: develops complex system for shooting smoke bombs. Americans: sprays diesel fuel into hot exhaust from tank.
