The crossing of the beams at the Kaa–Ataba Bridge project has reached an advanced stage, with construction activities progressing steadily and at an impressive pace. The 1.2-kilometre Kaa–Ataba Bridge in Rivers State, which connects Khana and Andoni Local Government Areas, is one of the Niger Delta Development Commission’s most ambitious and enduring legacy projects. Notably, it stands as the longest bridge in the Niger Delta region and the fourth longest in the country. Upon completion, the bridge will provide a vital link between the island and the mainland, significantly enhancing transportation, stimulating socio-economic activities, and opening up new opportunities for commerce and development. It is also expected to deliver a substantial boost to the local economy by facilitating the seamless movement of people and agricultural produce to urban markets. The Commission continues to provide rigorous quality supervision on the project, in line with our commitment to timely delivery as promised. We have maintained constant and effective engagement with engineers on site to ensure that standards, timelines, and specifications are strictly adhered to. The visuals being shown reflect the current and real-time status of work on the project. With the level of commitment and professionalism demonstrated by the contractor, we are confident that the Kaa–Ataba Bridge will be delivered as scheduled and to the highest standards.
