I’ve been sick twice in a row now. I recovered for about a week, then got sick again. It started after filming GR last week, when PM 2.5 was really heavy. On top of that, I’ve been working a lot, and the weather keeps changing…sometimes it rains, sometimes it’s cold. So what season even is this supposed to be? That’s why i ended up getting sick. My nose has been burning for the past 2–3 days like the entire nasal cavity was irritated. On the day i went to dye my hair, it was just nasal irritation, so i rinsed my nose like usual. the story behind liyu’s first stage (class test) during b2p ☹️ 🐰: my first stage? i honestly don’t even want to think about it. actually, up until two days before that, i was really sick. my throat was so bad that my voice couldn’t come out at all. the day before, i even got an injection. so i had to perform my first stage while i wasn’t in very good condition, and i was really nervous. i was shaking a lot. and it was also my first time wearing in-ears on stage, so i was completely out of it. i couldn’t even look at the masters’ expressions. i was just thinking, “please let it end quickly, please let it end quickly.” and then it just ended like that. so honestly, it was kind of scary.

Poor guy had his paint can hanging from the garage door when his girl opened it. Wasn’t anybody’s fault but his imprint on the car was hilarious, could this have been avoided? Me thinks he won’t be doing that again. When I was fixing up the current house I was working on I left one of those paint cups on the steps. Some people knocked on the door while I was working so I rushed downstairs to check to see who it was. Some people saw I was working on a house and was asking about rent details. Afterwards I had a quick puff on the vape mod and grabbed a drink. I casually walked upstairs totally forgetting I left that cup on the stairs, I stepped in it with the front portion of my foot, fell onto the handing and was coated in a splash of paint, it got on the wood stairs as well. I didn’t have time to clean myself up well because I needed to hurry up and clean the wood stairs before the paint sets and stains it. I managed to get most of it but then a new problem arose. The paint on me was still dripping. So I had to strip down and throw the clothes in a wadded ball and bagged it. Now the problem is solved right? No, how can I walk to the car in my undershirts without being noticed by the neighbors. I ended up standing by the door waiting until the coast was clear, I swear it felt like an hour but was only about 7 minutes. I think I need to heed my own warnings and start packing a pair of a spare clothes for instances like this or at least some painters smocks.

The translator Anton Hur shared a story about how RM “saves” the Korean literature and about his impact on publishers and sales. 👦🏻 My favorite live-saving, Namjoon story that I have is that…so a long time ago, I picked up this book by Lee Seong Bok about their aphorisms, about his poetry writing, about his poetics. It’s a very obscure topic, who reads about poetics?! But I read this book, it’s called ‘Indeterminate Inflorescence’ and I loved it! I was like, ‘Oh this is the life book, it’s like it contains all of my artistic ambitions in this one book but no one is going to publish it because no one is going to allow me to translate a book about Korean poetics so but I did find one publisher, it’s not even in New York, it’s in Seattle…And one tiny publisher that said ‘Okay, we’ll publish this book’, and then, a month before this book was supposed to come out, Namjoon posted about the aphorisms by Lee Seong Bok and when I saw that I thought like the angels were singing in the heaven and like manna was raining on me…I could not believe that this was happening and then like the first print got sold out, the second, the third got sold out. This tiny book that you know, it wasn’t a hit in Korea, it was like completely obscure.
