My grandfather who flew biplanes in the 1930’s said any landing you could walk away from was a good landing. That included landings on farmlands etc. He held one of the first pilot licenses issued by CA and was Civil Air Patrol pilot…

His best story was when he took a Hollywood gal (worked for WC Fields) up as a favor to WC. She said something like is this all it is? He did a few barrel rolls and other stunts. He was never asked to take anyone flying again.

Twin Otter with the throttles in the middle of the upper console. Not the most ergonomic of locations.

I’ve only seen a landing at St Barts on videos from an outside perspective. That looked, erm, exhilarating! Wonder what it looks and feels like from the passenger cabin!
