We know that the problem presented by sectarian Islamism in this country is only beginning. As the population of believing Muslims grows, so the threat of Islamist supremacism will grow disproportionately with it. As Emma Trimble points out, even minority numbers of radicalised Muslims can have an outsized impact on what the rest of the population can say and do. Rather than tackling the problem, in the wake of the Gorton & Denton by-election, the Labour Party is in the process of cutting a deal with the Islamist bloc to stem the flood of Muslim voters deserting them for the Greens. That’s why Steve Reed’s anti-Muslim hostility definition was rushed through. Labour is pandering to Islamist supremacism. How are future generations going to deal with it?
