初代（SXA10型）の3ドアは現行のヤリス並みのボディサイズで、かつ後期型では当時の「セリカ」や「MR2」と同じ180PSの3S-GEエンジン＋5MTというマニアックなグレードまでありました。今でも欲しいのですが、あれだけ売れた初代の殆どが海外へ流れてしまったようで･･･。
