Chet Holmgren said Alex Caruso is constantly giving teammates feedback and advice. I asked Caruso how much he enjoys the team aspect of competing: "I love it. I love being able to find and pick apart little advantages that we can gain through the game. My mind, especially during the postseason, is always running and tinkering and looking for different ways to take advantage of the game. And when I see different things for guys on my team that I think can help them, I'm going to mention it to them. Sometimes it's good and it's right and it helps them. And sometimes it's just me talking to myself. But that's something that I'm okay with because it's in the pursuit of being great and it's in the pursuit of us winning games. That's what it takes. You've got to be obsessed with the game to win at a high level, and I try to be."

Thought this was a great answer from Nickeil Alexander-Walker on the correct mentality to have about earning the opportunity to close games. "If you wanna play, you gotta effect winning. For me, that's what I've learned. The best way to make sure I'm out there is 'how do I effect the team in a positive way?' And that's one of the things I've been hanging my hat on." Asked if he's surprised by how few players have that mentality around the league. He said Mike Conley told him it's important to understand: "What got you here won't get you there."

This is the first time I've heard this... MLB umpires have 2 way microphones and are in contact with the ABS operator during the game getting feedback on their strike zone. Personally, I think that's a tremendous use of the technology to help get more calls right.
