"I was next in line to take off my shirt at NatWest, but Rahul Dravid stopped me!" — Harbhajan Singh & R Ashwin🚨😱 Host🗣️: "Bhajji pa, is it true that Rahul Dravid stopped you from taking your shirt off on the Lord’s balcony after the iconic 2002 NatWest final?" Harbhajan Singh🗣️: "Yes, absolutely true! When Dada [Sourav Ganguly] took his shirt off, I was literally next in line to take mine off too! Whatever the captain does, you follow. Thank god Rahul Dravid stopped me right then, otherwise, if Yuvraj Singh was standing next to me, he would have pulled my shirt off himself!" Host🗣️: "Ash, remember when you gave James Anderson an escort in Mumbai after what he said about Virat Kohli?" R. Ashwin🗣️: "England scored 400+, and then Virat smashed a double century (235) from 330/6 to push us past 600. But in the press conference, Anderson said, 'It’s India, wait till he comes to England.' How hard is it to give someone credit? So when Anderson walked out to bat next day, we walked him all the way from the boundary rope and gave him an earful!" Host🗣️: "How did you react to criticism from commentators during your playing days?" R. Ashwin🗣️: "After my first Australia tour, Sanjay Manjrekar wrote a very critical piece that hurt me deeply at the time. But it ignited a fire in me to work relentlessly. By 2015, he wrote another article praising my bowling. I texted him saying his initial criticism became a guru that completely changed my career!"

when a baniya #NRi #chaddi , suresh gupta tried to psyche rahul gandhi..... watch what happened......All #chaddis are the same. Gupta's schooling (any chance related to sekhargupta ? 🤪 when a nri sanghi tried schooling Rahul gandhi...... Rahul Gandhi’s interaction with Suresh kumar Gupta took place during his early March 2023 UK visit, at an Indian Journalists’ Association (IJA) event in London, in the context of his controversial Cambridge lecture. Background; On 28 February 2023, Rahul Gandhi (then a Visiting/Honorary Fellow-linked figure at Cambridge Judge Business School) delivered a lecture titled “Learning to Listen in the 21st Century.” In it, he alleged that Indian democracy was under attack, institutions (Parliament, judiciary, press) were being constrained, minorities were targeted, and that Pegasus spyware had been on his phone (and those of other politicians). He also spoke about production shifting to China and the need for democratic systems. The lecture drew sharp criticism in India from the BJP & others as an “anti-India tirade” from foreign soil. The interaction with Suresh Gupta At the subsequent IJA “India Insights” interaction in London (around 4–5 March 2023), veteran London-based journalist Suresh Gupta intervened during the Q&A. He introduced himself as settled in London since 1961, working for the New World newspaper, & claimed long personal connections to the Nehru-Gandhi family: He said he knew Indira Gandhi (describing her as like an elder sister) from his time at All India Radio (1958–61) & had met Jawaharlal Nehru (going to Teen Murti House for signatures via organisations like Bharat Lok Samaj). Gupta advised Rahul against criticising India abroad. He recalled that after Indira Gandhi’s imprisonment by the Morarji Desai government, at a London press conference a journalist asked about her prison experience and she replied that she did not want to say anything bad about India there. Gupta told Rahul: He was being constantly attacked in the Indian media for the Cambridge lecture. As a well-wisher who hoped to see Rahul become Prime Minister, he should take a lesson from Indira Gandhi’s example. He also asked whether, in nine years of BJP rule, Modi had done anything good for India. Rahul Gandhi’s response Rahul asked Gupta whether he had actually watched the Cambridge lecture. Gupta admitted he had only “heard about it,” not seen it. Rahul replied that it was “interesting” Gupta had formed an opinion without viewing it, and emphasised the need for an informed view. The moderator/IJA president Danish Khan supported Rahul, interjecting positively. Videos of the full IJA interaction (including this exchange) are available on Rahul Gandhi’s official YouTube channel and other platforms. Coverage framed it variously as Gupta “schooling” or advising Rahul on patriotism (drawing from Indira’s example), or as Rahul effectively shutting down an uninformed critique. The episode remains a frequently referenced moment from that UK trip, often linked in titles and discussion to the Cambridge lecture even though the direct exchange occurred at the London journalists’ event.

Sometimes I don’t understand why Ajit Agarkar was and is always against Sanju Samson In 2023, India had 3 squads for the Asia Cup, Asian Games & ODI World Cup. 31 different players got selected across those tournaments & somehow Sanju wasn’t part of any squads. What’s even crazier is that he was picked as a reserve player for the Asia Cup, which meant he wasn’t part of the Asian Games squad & it also affected his plans to play County Cricket. So in the end he wasn’t part of the Asia Cup squad, wasn’t part of the Asian Games squad & couldn’t continue with his County plans either. Everyone who followed the ODI matches before the 2023 World Cup knew Sanju was the most deserving guy who wasn’t picked in the squad. When Sanju scored 3 T20I centuries as an opener in 2024, Ajit Agarkar openly said he was only playing because Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal were unavailable. Imagine saying that about a player who had just scored 3 centuries in 5 matches for India in T20Is something no one has done before in a year. Most players would get backed after performances like that. That was so disrespectful from the national selector. I wonder how Sanju would have felt that day. Then came the ODI explanation. Ajit Agarkar said Sanju wasn’t being picked because he was a top-order batter. But Sanju has literally batted everywhere in ODI cricket other than opening and his numbers have been excellent irrespective of the position. His last ODI innings was a match-winning century in a series decider against South Africa at Paarl, one of the toughest batting venues in the country, and after that innings he never played another ODI for India. Last year selectors picked ODI squad with 3 different WKs for a series & Sanju wasn’t one of them. That’s when the explanation came that Sanju is a top-order batter. But now Virat Kohli gets injured and India need a No.3 batter, yet Sanju still isn’t being considered despite being the last Indian batter other than Kohli to score an ODI century at No.3. So he wasn’t picked because he was a top-order batter, but when a top-order spot opens up he still isn’t picked. What kind of logic is that? And the most frustrating part is that it’s always the same guy missing out whenever an ICC event comes around when he deserve the most 🔹 2021 T20 World Cup 🔹 2022 T20 World Cup 🔹 2023 Asia Cup 🔹 2023 Asian Games 🔹 2023 ODI Cricket World Cup 🔹 2025 ICC Champions Trophy Every single time it’s Sanju Samson What’s even crazier is that during the T20 World Cup cycle he gets some chances in ODI squads while completely neglecting him in T20 squad , and vice versa during the ODI World Cup cycle he would suddenly appear in T20 squads. Not because he was getting consistent opportunities, but because he was never given a clear role or a long run in either format. 2-3 failures & he would be out again💔 No backing. No continuity. No clarity. Things have always been different when it comes to Sanju Samson First time he was picked for an ICC event was for the 2024 T20 World Cup, but didn’t get to play a single match & India won an ICC tournament after more than a decade The only ICC tournament Sanju Samson has actually played in during his entire 11-year international career was the 2026 T20 World Cup. The only ICC tournament he actually got an opportunity to play, he ended up being the best player of the tournament📈 One of the things I admire most about Sanju is that he has never shown frustration. He never complained, never held grudges against those who disrespected him, and never made excuses. He always kept a smile on his face, even during the lowest moments of his career 💎 Every opportunity had to be earned the hard way, every place in the squad had to be fought for, and every setback had to be overcome without any backing Even after winning the WorldCup as POTT, some people are still questioning his place in the team which makes me realise that every match for Sanju will always remain as a “Do or Die” game😅
