RCMP chasing down …. an Alberta egg farmer? It’s time to replace Ottawa’s police force. #AlbertaFirst

Somewhere in the RCMP chain of command a decision was made to divert allocation of resources from organized crime, fentanyl manufacturing/ distribution/ money laundering, human trafficking, etc. to egg farmers selling eggs to locals in their community. Imagine being that person in the chain of command and the compromises they're willing to make in the pursuit of career advancement.

I didn't think I could hate supply management anymore than I did. Illicit drugs onto the streets, no worries. A farmer selling his own product? Directly to jail. Do not pass go.

Retired police officer here. I need to know more. The story from the egg farmer and the story from the police officers. There is much more going on here than meets the eye. That being said....I get my eggs from my neighbour. They are delicious.

I read the article. It is a news article from a journalist's perspective....which is always biased. I would need the input from the farmer and the police officers before I could make a decision. Thanks for the heads up though.

@Veteran4Freedom Bill, I’m a retired cop as well. What is the context of the arrest/takedown. I would like more info but what level of threat is the farmer that the ramming door prize use of force technique would be justified

Just asking based on my observations considering Ottawa Police could not see anything wrong with the situation. It makes me wonder if Ottawa Police actually viewed video with their eyes open or just asked the officer his side?!?

Possibly it’s black ice that caused pulling left. But why open the door? Aggressive driving? Surprising that a charge of ‘careless driving’ or ‘careless driving causing bodily harm’ didn’t occur.

The wheels were not locked up as they were rolling and turning towards the guy to block an egress for escape IMO. The door was opened prior to hitting the guy to allow for quick exit of vehicle prior to stop. He did not help him up or check for injury - appeared to be getting him on stomach to cuff him. 🤔

You'd think there would be a fentanyl lab or human trafficking or gun running case they could allocate 5 rcmp officers to investigate.

This is insane. It’s a civil matter, and they could’ve gone to court and gotten a judgment, blah blah blah. Instead, they sent five cruisers to get one egg farmer.
