Grew up mainly in the UK and spent most of my adult life in France — went from being called “ginger pubes” by randoms in the street in England to learning my adoptive French countrymen think redheads smell like wet dogs

I had a young doctor tell me that he had heard redheads will become extinct in a couple of generations. He casually tossed that out as he was stitching up my eyebrow after I had slipped on ice and landed on my head.
