This is precisely why I don't flatter Snyder "critics" by engaging with their bullshit. NONE OF IT IS REAL! THEY are not real people with real views! They're narcissistic NPCs desperate for attention and Zack Snyder is their engagement viagra.

The so-called real DC fans were never DC fans. They don't even watch DC movies. They just watch some clips and complain and rejoice at the downfall of DC.

Afflecks bats did it as a distraction. Remember that he initially disables everyones guns in the warehouse scene. The one he didnt disable, the bad guy was shooting on his ownafter he broke his arm. He used it as a distraction while not actually shooting at the bad guys to buy himself by time cause they all fall to get away from the gunshots. Those same guys he supposedly shot at, he fights them without guns after. When he uses the knife its stabbed into the shoulder, not the heart. Then he punches him in the stomach like superman did to him in the knightmare scene. Dont think that he killed him. People forget he is going against a bunch of criminals that will probably kill him if he goes soft on them so he has to be abit violent but he technically did not kill anyone in this scene

So Zack Snyder was right the way that people see superheroes like God with the no killing role Instead of challenging them and putting them in though situations

I think that scene in MoS would have landed better if the film wasn’t a dark, gritty, nihilistic take on Superman. If he was portrayed as the hopeful idealist we know him to be, then Zod forced him to decide to kill, it would have narratively made sense and hit better.
