heh, that reminds me, so there are a lot of Mormons that live where I am and in HS there was some elective that you went to the Mormon ward next to school and ofc 99% did that for the easy A but there were a select few true believers

I started going to church simply to spend time with my Grandparents. I respected my grandparents and they were devout Christians so I went. Then I started going again simply because it was a place for all of us to hang out. My friend was a part of a church that had a "teen night" every friday where they'd pick everyone up on the bus and we had 4 hours of the church to ourselves. A bunch of teenagers with little supervision and the whole church grounds was ours while the adults hung out in the main area. (Things went exactly how you're thinking) This went on for a few months...Until the Pastor fed himself buckshot because his wife caught him messing around with the teenage girl they had adopted.
