Good lord, he doesn't even look like the same athlete. There was a time, not long ago, where I had faith every Tua pass was going to be a completion and I even had faith on third and longs. Honestly, it may have been the concussions or the constant pressure behind terrible o-lines, but he doesn't seem to have half the confidence as this.

It's crazy, I get people not liking Tua now but they act like he couldn't ball the last 4 years is nuts to me

A little time in the pocket and Preston, Parker, Hollins, and Gesicki all 6 ft 2 and up pass catchers. It’s really this easy for him to succeed and get his confidence back. McDaniel turned the offense into a version of himself, small and whimpy.

You can tell he actually had confidence in this game. He’s lost the edge due to a piss poor OL…year in and year out, the head injuries (any one of us would struggle with that), and overall just a ton of negativity in the media and with the “fans.”

I really don't think it was the hip surgery that ruined him because he can still move very well in these clips. Definitely the concussions. Even his passes have less zip than this.
