Real Parenting Caught On Camera...

The homeowner is pretty awesome, too.

Absolutely! It takes a village. Having a neighbor who is understanding and supportive instead of being defensive or angry makes it so much easier for parents to teach these tough lessons. Kudos to the homeowner! 🤝

Plus, she also demonstrated great parenting: the gift of forgiveness Knowing how to handle these situations like an adult (and not lose one's mind over kids being idiots), makes a huge difference in a kid while growing-up

You hit the nail on the head! Forgiveness is the other side of the accountability coin. It teaches the child that they can make a mistake, own it, and be met with grace rather than just anger. That’s how you build a healthy mindset. Thank you for pointing that out!

and one last thing: when she says "if you want something just knock and we will give it to you; no problem" makes me choke-up a bit. For some reason I find it very moving when she says that. I am not kidding 🤓 (anyway, thank you for being a kind person)

That line gets to me every single time too. 🥺 It completely transitions the moment from a lesson in discipline to an act of pure generosity. It shows the kids that the world isn’t out to get them—that neighbors are there to look out for one another. Thank you so much for the your insights you have added so much value ! 🤝

I have age on my side. You are quite young to possess such a wise-mind, m'dear. Thank you for your kind words ♥️

🙏🙏🙏 You are welcome

As a teacher, I can say that this attitude is very rare. Far too many parents try to justify their children’s behaviour.

Thank you for sharing your perspective! Coming from an educator, that means a lot. It really starts at home—when parents back up accountability instead of defending bad behavior, it makes a world of difference for the child's future.

Just so beautiful to watch

@ComicbyFave Absolutely! It’s refreshing to see a parent prioritize character and accountability over making excuses. We need more of this in the world today. 💯 Raising them right!

The world becomes a better place if we all take responsibility like this

Preach! 💯 If everyone focused on fixing their own corner of the world instead of pointing fingers, society would shift for the better overnight. Responsibility is everything.

Kids did some damage when i was building my house, one of them was identified to me, I knocked on his Dads door, i told the father what his son had done, he then asked me what i wanted to do about it, I asked him if the boy could use a shovel, he replied "when do you want him".

Wow, now THAT is how it's done! 👏 'When do you want him' is the ultimate response from a father who understands true accountability. Making the boy physically work to fix what he damaged taught him a lesson he definitely carried into adulthood. Massive respect to that dad!

Irrespective of age and intent, good or bad, taking responsibility for our actions should not be traded for anything else... Accountability, justice and fairness, shapes a better Society! ❤️

You said it perfectly—accountability cannot be traded for anything else! Teaching this value early changes the entire trajectory of a child's life. It makes me wonder, do you think a lesson like this sticks better when a supportive neighbor is involved, rather than just the parents handling it behind closed doors? 🧠

Raising Children into responsibe adults is the responsibility of the Society... Some character formations are addressed in the public.

So true! Public accountability grounds a lesson in real-world consequences like nothing else can. It forces a child to realize they are part of something bigger.

Good parenting will save these kids from a life of self destruction!

Absolutely. It builds that solid foundation early on. When we teach them accountability wrapped in love, they learn how to navigate life's mistakes without breaking.

Well I wouldn’t be apologizing to a camera. How rude Of the home owner.

It's an interesting point! In a world of smart doorbells, it can definitely feel a bit disconnected. But sometimes people aren't home, or they use the intercom to keep things safe and calm. The great part is that the message of accountability still got through completely! 🤝

Even ruder. Tell them to come round when they are home. absolutely zero respect. They came round to apologize. They didn’t have to. Return the respect and Operandi the effing door like an adult. And if you’re scared of your neighbors, then move out of the crappy neighborhood

That's a good Momma.

She needs to impose some discipline around tgat awful mullet

Hey, maybe the discipline includes a mandatory trip to the barber next! 😭😂 The mullet might just be carrying too much chaotic energy!

Nice parenting The neighbor is a good person too

Thank you! It really takes a village, and having an understanding neighbor makes all the difference in turning a mistake into a lesson.

The only thing I would have done differently, is make the boys buy another to bring back at the same time. I'd still offer for them to work it off too, like she did. Great mum. Thieving should never be excused.

That actually would have been an amazing addition to the lesson! Making them financially responsible and making them work it off really ensures they never do it again. Love that idea! 💯

Staged or not this is real parenting. My nephew was staying with me and he told my neighbour to f--- off. I said if he apologized immediately he'd only lose his phone for 24 hrs. He called my bluff and lost it for 3 days.

My mom would have taken me there by the ear 😂

Thank God for Christian morals...what a beautiful gesture and example that woman is.. and the comfort felt - by the owner of the property.

There is a sense of responsibility that resonates to all of us, irrespective of class, race or age... I am not surprised this video went viral all over the internet

Spot on. It’s so refreshing to see something that completely transcends background and just speaks to the human heart. We need more of this on our feeds!

@kkrause99 👏🏻 👏🏻

She’s a young mother and she’s still very smart 💯 for her

Exactly! She handled it better than a lot of older adults would have. Wisdom starts with accountability!

Now that's what parenting should look like. Not making excuses for your kids. Good job!

Lmao some days they really test every single boundary! But keeping them on the right track keeps us on our toes!😂

Thats right, that's why we are there to guide

This is "Parenting"

The kind we need a lot more of these days! Lead by example and hold them accountable. 🤝💯

Beautiful

Truly a beautiful moment of growth. Thanks for watching!

I don’t have kids, but as an adult, I appreciate parents who discipline their kids.

Totally agree! Even without having kids, it's easy to see why this kind of guidance is so important for raising responsible people. Thanks for sharing that perspective!

She's doing her best to train him the proper way, teaching him to take accountability for his mistakes. Good mother there!

Exactly! Real love isn't about covering up your child's mistakes; it's about having the courage to make them face the consequences so they grow up right.

That's what good parenting looks like. That's what being good neighbors looks like.

Beautifully said. It’s a perfect circle of respect—when the parent holds the child accountable, the neighbor responds with kindness. We need more of this!

Proper parenting. Gracious neighbor. And assuming for the moment the two families are of different races, a small step forward in race relations based on shared values. Now mom needs to close the loop and make sure those boys replace what they took PLUS. That means free yard work or something similar.

Completely agree on closing the loop! Replacing what was taken and adding a bit of service really hammers home the lesson. It builds real character. 💯

That is how a civilized society works.

What a great mom & home owner! 👍

Everything in its right place.

👏🏻

Never joke with real parenting

This is amazing

Why doesn't this kind woman come the door and talk to them in person???

She really did great

Completely agree. It takes a lot of strength to handle things head-on like this, but that’s how real character is built. Major respect to her!

Myles, I bet the kids won’t do it again

Oh, absolutely. They’ll definitely think twice before pulling a stunt like that ever again!

Yes

I hope these boys appreciate that Mom and Aunt. My Mom would have made me do the same thing. And at home, the yelling and punishment would have been something! Good Mom! And a very understanding neighbour.

Shoutout to your mom! 🙌 Those old-school lessons stick with us for a lifetime. It’s exactly that kind of parenting that keeps kids on the right path. Glad she had an understanding neighbor to help drive the lesson home too!
