It's stupid, because libertarians have Argumentation Ethics, yet these people are trying to fit themselves into a statist box of political policies. It's as paradoxical as anarchists deciding what policies their supreme leader should implement and force on everyone. Even Milei had anarchy as an election theme and that pnly helped him because people understand that only drastic changes can achieve anything and nothing is drastic enough except anarchy. A serious anarchist running during a system-wide collapse will have a bigger impact that pseudo-libertarians sucking up to the politicians who shout "libertarian allies!" the hardest.

I didn't realize that Auron MacIntyre was dumb as rocks until this interview. All of his complaints can be solved by using more descriptive labels, like paleolibertarian or Beltway Libertarian or CATO libertarian. This isn't remotely hard. The left has scores of ways to call yourself a communist, and if that's your world, you understand what someone means when they say Trotskyite or Maoist or Council Communist or Primitive Marxist.
