Absolutely wrong. 90’s people never spent the way this generation spends. 90’s people used to go out to eat on special occasions, like birthdays or anniversaries. Today’s generation spends a bomb on eating out; thanks to @Swiggy & @zomato & weekend parties. This generation has been sold the idea that you only live once; spend and enjoy till you can. They don’t know how to compound savings. It’s a generation gap. Nothing against people who want to enjoy spending & living their lives to the fullest but that’s the reality. They don’t know 2 rupees saved every MINUTE equals 2880/day which is 15,70,00,000 in 30 years compounded at 9% per annum.

On 50k salary in Delhi, if somebody lives like our parents they would save atleast 20k per month. This world of showoff has ruined everything

That's a very cunning way to hide the truth and create a sense that the problem is only because of the 'system'. This is another video to fuel anger. Half truths are more dangerous.

In the year 1990 who earns Rs. 5000/- per month were considered as rich middle-class The average salary was Rs. 3000/- on that time, even in 1998 my starting salary was Rs. 3800/-

Well that’s capitalism. Pre 1990 reforms in India was failed socialism. Both generations of Indian living in their respective era will say that both systems failed. 😊

Someone please explain to this moron its the same situation everywhere. In Melbourne where I live, a house was costing 25K in 1990. Now? 1 Million. Back in the day, many people had to rely on their savings to purchase but now there is cheap credit available. That is a big difference. Quality of life everywhere has only improved. Finally, in a capitalist economy, you got to be smart to get ahead. Cannot expect to live on a single salary. Think positive. Life has not gotten worse. By any standards, anywhere!

Our parents did not buy iPhones. They did not go to restaurants every weekend. They did not do foreign trips. They did not buy luxury cars. They knew how to save and hence managed to save. They still ask us to save but we don’t listen to them and spend as if there was no tomorrow

It's a mix of failed politics & bad financial choices. It's great that we are in the top 10 economies in the world but we have no channel internally to highlight challenges. If you take a look at UPA Era every kid was aware with what's wrong with the country, no prod. parliament.

Reality double check : yah sari problems metro city walon ki Hai aur jo 10-15 sal pahle metro city gaye hain UN logon ki special

Comparing metro-city life with the rest of the country is peak stupidity!🤦‍♂️ In 1990, most middle-class families didn’t have AC, fly regularly, or own homes, like they do today. Even today, 50K in a Tier 2–4 city is enough for a decent life, and 10K/month still covers groce/veg!

Population is a major factor too, and urbanization also plays a significant role. Leaving those out gives an incomplete picture.
