Absolutely wrong. 90’s people never spent the way this generation spends. 90’s people used to go out to eat on special occasions, like birthdays or anniversaries. Today’s generation spends a bomb on eating out; thanks to @Swiggy & @zomato & weekend parties. This generation has been sold the idea that you only live once; spend and enjoy till you can. They don’t know how to compound savings. It’s a generation gap. Nothing against people who want to enjoy spending & living their lives to the fullest but that’s the reality. They don’t know 2 rupees saved every MINUTE equals 2880/day which is 15,70,00,000 in 30 years compounded at 9% per annum.

On 50k salary in Delhi, if somebody lives like our parents they would save atleast 20k per month. This world of showoff has ruined everything

That's a very cunning way to hide the truth and create a sense that the problem is only because of the 'system'. This is another video to fuel anger. Half truths are more dangerous.

In the year 1990 who earns Rs. 5000/- per month were considered as rich middle-class The average salary was Rs. 3000/- on that time, even in 1998 my starting salary was Rs. 3800/-

U missed one more thing… ur father had to feed almost 6 people with his earnings… today two people earn in a family of three…

Well that’s capitalism. Pre 1990 reforms in India was failed socialism. Both generations of Indian living in their respective era will say that both systems failed. 😊

Someone please explain to this moron its the same situation everywhere. In Melbourne where I live, a house was costing 25K in 1990. Now? 1 Million. Back in the day, many people had to rely on their savings to purchase but now there is cheap credit available. That is a big difference. Quality of life everywhere has only improved. Finally, in a capitalist economy, you got to be smart to get ahead. Cannot expect to live on a single salary. Think positive. Life has not gotten worse. By any standards, anywhere!

Most of your data is questionable. Try & compare with back ups. Dont preach Dont create anarchy my friend

Aap se to ye umeed nahi thi. My dad retired as a 2 star IAF officer with a scooter n DDA 2 Bhk apartment in 1987. Compare it with today!! Ur comment is painful

Our parents did not buy iPhones. They did not go to restaurants every weekend. They did not do foreign trips. They did not buy luxury cars. They knew how to save and hence managed to save. They still ask us to save but we don’t listen to them and spend as if there was no tomorrow

It's a mix of failed politics & bad financial choices. It's great that we are in the top 10 economies in the world but we have no channel internally to highlight challenges. If you take a look at UPA Era every kid was aware with what's wrong with the country, no prod. parliament.

Social media and eagerness to become famous is the reason for downfall

this is a stupid video our parents lived frugally we used to buy one shirt or max 2 shirts in a year now children want one every month everything is use and throw we were happy cycling now there are 2 cars 4 everyhome everything is on loan fridge,car, washing machine, tv,home..

Reality double check : yah sari problems metro city walon ki Hai aur jo 10-15 sal pahle metro city gaye hain UN logon ki special

Comparing metro-city life with the rest of the country is peak stupidity!🤦♂️ In 1990, most middle-class families didn’t have AC, fly regularly, or own homes, like they do today. Even today, 50K in a Tier 2–4 city is enough for a decent life, and 10K/month still covers groce/veg!

PsyOps

It's a reality, check some financial experts to bring out the truth

@parathachai Shhhhhhjhh For last 12 years govt acts masterstroke upon masterstroke and in short visits head of govt signes more and more with all countries (he does it actually for last 24 yrs) so indians/also gujratis should not worrying about all these. Just keep dreaming 2047!

Sir, another reality check.Look at this x post. 1. All hospitals in India r now by Americans, only objective is profit at the cost of our life. 2. Stock returns in last 35yrs r 1300% but salary didn’t increase. So corporates earning huge but not employees

Dreams are sold to middle class man in the name of dream home dream job and lifestyle by lending you easy loans. Earlier when 2007/2008 period for a car loan it would take 15days to get approval. Now not even 15mins you'll receive 100%loan that's the trap my frnd.

@shelljaws1334

and why real estate got so expensive -

what nonsense, people do not have a telephone at that time, now youth have an iphone. people mostly have cycles , now most of them are four wheeler or 2 wheeler 100%. people cant afford fan , now have AC in their homes. one family has TV and whole colony come 2 C lmt zero

Mr Toor , you propagating the Anarchy agenda . The main Question is , are you doing this knowingly or unknowingly?

@parathachai

It has always been like that....!!! Things you can afford is considered "cheap", things you cannot afford is always "costly"....!!!! Ideal situation never existed in this world; everybody in this world can never be a Millionaire....!!!

Population is a major factor too, and urbanization also plays a significant role. Leaving those out gives an incomplete picture.

Grow up. Hardly anyone was making 5K a month in 1990.

Congress ,TMC ,SP , APP , udhav , NCP, have done such a bad job. They have increased prices of everything by allowing illegals into the country and saddled us with their expenses.

Salary went up 10 times? Go and check entry level salaries for a graduate pass-out from a general institute. Same freshers salary which has been same from 2011-2012. Salary didn't grew like it should have been. Stop saying shits.

@VishnuFNO We are running twice as fast not to stay in the same place but to lose our living standard. The Neta Babu Dhandho class has screwed Indians completely. We can't allow business as usual anymore. This needs to be closed.

got anxiety just watching all that crowd inside a video.cities need to decongest asap..india needs some kind of order..not order in strict unfeeling ways but some shade of order please.phew no wonder evryone is insane here.lost sanity from all the chaos around
