Really disappointed with Watkins behaviour… #avfc

Villa fans should know better. You were happy to sell Watkins last summer for the right price, yet he stayed and helped deliver Europa glory and UCL football. Now he wants to leave, suddenly he’s ruining his legacy? Come on. He’s earned the right to choose his next move.

He spent a World Cup with Ivan Toney during training, telling him how he can earn £300k+ a week tax-free. That's it really. At the end of the day, most of these players leaving were rubbish before Emery came in. No consistency at all.

I'll defend him on the move. I get it. He's not a Villa fan, he's achieved more than he probably ever dreamt of and now has the chance of a lottery win. But I can't defend his actions. Ruling yourself out of the game and then to find out he's not training. Gutted.

Emery didnt show Watkins much loyalty when he played a loanee ahead of Watkins in a huge champions league game...players dont forget these things and Watkins has worked his way up the pyramid to get this move.
