Really feels like the Packers kicked a hornets nest on this one

From my understanding, the Packers pay the city $1m a year to lease Lambeau Field. The city wants to increase that. But, the Packers don’t feel it should go up since they’re committing to $1.5B (BILLION) of stadium renovations and are asking ZERO from taxpayers.

That is one small part of the negotiations.

Green Bay without the Packers would bury that city lol… also news flash the packers aren’t going anywhere

I’m sorry but I don’t understand how a city can be upset at a team that’s trying not make the TAXPAYERS Pay for a stadium?? Screw there need for more rent, the packers already bring plenty of money to the city! Plus the packers are paying for the renovations?

It is exponentially more complicated than that.

I didn't know @AndyHermanNFL was on the city council

Throw them all out . Incredibly embarrassing . The packers saved green bay . Period

That's it, pack it up boys, we're taking this show to Madison/Milwaukee in 2032 🤣

City wants a community benefit statement while simultaneously saying they’ll move the Heritage Plaza statues into storage at the Packers cost. The plaza the Packers donated and pay to maintain. Sounds like both sides could benefit from putting more in writing.

The city would love nothing more than to have in writing what was agreed to in negotiations all throughout last year. The team dragging this all into the public eye instead is truly curious.
