Really good answer from Michael Busch about how Trajekt has helped him develop against lefty arms. His wRC+ jumped from 81 to 111 vs lefties this season. In-game applications of Trajekt are cool, but the training environment applications have always intrigued me more.

Always hard to determine how teams have benefited from Trajekt because it's so player-specific. Perhaps LHH vs LHP improvements is one. Great interview from @Taylor_McGregor. @WatchMarquee

Genuinely asking, is 149 PAs a big enough sample to know definitively whether he's improved against lefties, let alone attribute that improvement to Trajekt?

I don’t think it is? But it’s a clear attempt to at least use the tool to benefit him. And if he thinks it’s a reason why, I’d argue there’s value in that. Whiff down from 25% to 20% vs LHH probably stabilizes quicker than ball in play stuff too? Minor signal I’d say. Not ground-breaking, as you’re saying.

But he's significantly worse against RH this year. Not saying one is a function of the other but if that's the case and you asked him if he'd rather be better against LH and worse against RH he'd say no 100x out of 100

Fair! The righty stuff is weird, but it hurts my brain to think about how that would be connected. He, like so many other Cubs, have become more passive hitters this year. And perhaps that hurts damage on contact. Could also just be as simple as his bat speed is down. 🤷‍♂️

This is another reason why hitters should be way better in today's game than they actually are.
