Really good answer from Michael Busch about how Trajekt has helped him develop against lefty arms. His wRC+ jumped from 81 to 111 vs lefties this season. In-game applications of Trajekt are cool, but the training environment applications have always intrigued me more.

Q: Has Hyeseong shown you enough where you now want to push him a little more by starting him vs. lefties every now and then? DAVE ROBERTS: Not really. I think that with what he’s done for us in the role that we have for him, he’s done fantastic. But I also think that Max is going to typically play against lefties, and then in this particular situation, he’s down, so I feel very good with Kim in there. We would have lost that game only for Senne Lammens. Going from him to Onana has been such an upgrade and will help us win so many more points this season. A huge positive isn’t just his saves but how he parries the ball out of the danger area.

In Year-3, Jeremy Sochan really simplified his game, focusing on being an interior attacker who thrived off cuts and as a roll man 81% of his FGAs came from within the 3PT-line, up from 76% and 71% in his previous two seasons As a result, his FG% was a career-high 54%, up from 45% and 44%, respectively His shift in playstyle also got him to the FT-line more consistently, helping him secure a big increase in TS% (from 51% in his first two seasons to 58% last season) Now, he’s just a consistent 3PT-shot away from unlocking his full potential, and that’s exactly what he’s been working on this off-season He tied a career-high by shooting 30.8% from 3 last season, and videos of his shooting throughout the off-season have shown that his form has become a lot more fluid Becoming a reliable perimeter shooter will make him an even more dangerous complement to Wemby & Co., especially since he’s already shown elite defensive flashes, too

Nkosingiphile Ngcobo was always poised to play an important role in the team from pre-season. He was central to many of the positive aspects of our play during pre-season. Although he didn’t start the season as a key member of the team and wasn’t used effectively in the early stages, the recent tactical evolution within the club has once again positioned him as a key element in the team’s playing structure. Mshini has to play this season with a level of intensity that demands both physical and mental resilience. It’s encouraging to see his commitment to improving his fitness. His dedication to extra work beyond club training remains consistent, even after years of mixed fortunes in terms of game time. Despite limited opportunities, he has continued to focus on refining his physicality, fitness, and conditioning. This season will demand even more from him, but it’s reassuring to see his determination to stay sharp, look good, and be ready whenever the team requires him. I genuinely appreciate the continued work Bukhosi Nyoni is doing with him from the time Mshini was making waves as a youngster in the CAFCL to this day — it shows a positive relationship beyond football and a clear intent to elevate his game and sustain his readiness for top-level competition. He continues to take good care of the ball in that engine room, and this version of Mshini looks highly competitive and confident. ❤️✌🏾
