i’ve been craving a game day at the UC for so long now

Oh, excuse me, just one more thing. I’ve been going over the field guides, the checklists, the whole ornithological file, and, well, I don’t mean to be a bother, but I keep coming back to the same little inconsistency. There’s a common Black Hawk, sure. Two words. Sometimes they even stick a hyphen in there. Lives by the water, broad wings, that white band on the tail. Perfectly respectable bird. But Blackhawk? One word? Like the helicopter or city in California? I looked. I asked around. I even checked the fine print. And I think, now this is just a thought, mind you, I think there isn’t one. Not really. Not a bird that answers to that name. Funny how a missing space can make a whole species vanish. That’s all. Sorry to have taken up your time.
