Really interesting round coming from Complexity in their game vs TYLOO. What makes this really cool in my opinion is the molly to deny the monster smoke, the rest of the utility could be cooked on tho. As always uploaded to youtube with bookmarks.

The smoke is definitely not coming from wildfires in Canada. There’s no way the smoke could travel to Florida. Also, Canadians are reporting that they have blue skies now. So, what is really going on? 🧐

Evan Engram says his favorite thing about being a Bronco is the culture: “It’s hard to be the first one in the building… in Jacksonville I was always the first one it was really easy” Really cool things coming from a 9 year vet

The cool thing about the end of the Nuggets game is a pop that loud from a crowd makes it really easy to sync a ton of fan footage from the game. H/T to Katy Winge for asking people for their clips!

This might just be the best 6 consecutive minutes in all of Transformers media. The score. The animation. The emotion. It's REALLY hard to beat in my opinion.

Although I understand why it didn’t make the final cut, this deleted scene from Attack of the Clones has always been super interesting to me. Really cool seeing droids in the Jedi Temple working purely for investigative purposes. Also makes Obi-Wan’s visit with Dexter Jettster a little less jarring.

CJ Stroud on what he could be better at: “I don’t know, everything? I could always be better. I told demo today if anything he sees or anybody sees I can be better in let me know. My process has been really good lately. I see the field well. Putting the ball where it’s supposed to be with the coverages and what not. Some things is just I didn’t really get a ton of reps with the guys were getting in the game at receiver.” This alludes to some of the plays I’ve pointed out today with guys running through open window in zone imo. He really can trust Christian Kirk on this & think will be a big help.

This scene from "Sonic Ride" is, in my opinion, the funniest thing to ever come out of the series, feels like someone really wanted to make a Road Runner gag but with Sonic and Eggman, and the charmingly awful CGI is the icing on the cake!

What if you could visualise how electricity flows from a wind farm in Scotland to your home in London? Ok it's not quite that simple, but it got me thinking that there must be a way of visualising the complexity of the electricity transmission grid in Great Britain. This is my first attempt… What you're seeing are the real power lines and substations on the transmission grid using OpenStreetMap data. The real connections between each substation are found using PyPSA-Eur as well as calculating the "electrical distance" or impedance between each substation. This is my incredibly basic and naive way of attempting to show the "speed" at which the energy is moving through the network, where the bottlenecks are, etc. I know it's not as simple as this, but it's a first attempt so… 😉 I've also added a way to pick any substation in the network and show how electricity pulses through the rest of the network from that point. This is the magic sauce that really brings to life how much infrastructure electricity has to pass through to get from point A to point B. Of course this isn't really what happens, and there's no demand to soak up the energy. However I think it still serves as an interesting visual of how complex the network actually is and the distances involved to get energy from one side of the country to the other. What do you think? Is this worth exploring further?
