Really interesting to see how well React 19.2’s Activity handles inactive screens in screen-transitions. Here’s the difference between v3 and v4 in a 35 screen stack test 😳

- Push performance, left is slower right is faster - Animation performance, towards the end of the video, we can see left suffer when animating back whilst right remains fast

We built this onboarding flow in React Native that feels better than most native apps Here’s how we did it: ① Patched react-native-screens for a custom transition ② Button and stepper are rendered on top of the stack ③ Synced button state across screens via context The button and header are positioned absolutely above the stack. When a screen focuses, it updates the shared button state (text, disabled state) via context The hardest part is keeping the keyboard open during screen transitions. We solved it with hidden TextInputs that get focused programmatically before navigating The result: one button flows across every screen and surfs the keyboard

react-native-screen-transitions v3 has been out for a couple days now - held off from posting because I wanted to move past the basic examples and show how it looks in real flows Here’s a gym app my buddy Brian and I are working on 🥳

missed building out a full flow, so I wanted to see what I could come up with in a day using react-native-screen-transitions 🤨

One of the most exciting things I’ve had the chance to work on has been integrating `react-native-teleport` into `screen-transitions`. v3.9 introduces a new handoff prop to seamlessly teleport boundary payloads between each other. Pretty happy with it so far! Here’s how it looks with the new zoom transition in v3.9

Here’s how to animate a widget between screens in your Flutter app with the Hero widget. ⬇️ Make sure to use the same unique tag for both the first and second screens!

Want to give your kids a big advantage in life? Help them to avoid screen addiction. This woman nails it with her approach. If you simply tell your kids "no screens", they will want screens even more Instead teach your kids about the harms of screens. How too much screen time takes away from other things in their life. How they will be much happier & healthier if they limit their screen use. This empowers kids. And this works even better if kids see their parents doing the same

Unusual and interesting⚡️ You can literally really see the huge difference in the way PM Giorgia Meloni, PM Rishi Sunak, and President Emmanuel Macron treat one another.😳

.Aave V4 is growing day by day - but there might be a part of DeFi users who haven't yet taken the time to understand the difference between V3 and V4. That's the exact topic I'm covering in this video. You can also try out the Aave V4 dashboard on DeFi Saver - and watch more DeFi educational content on the Pick DeFi Youtube channel.

I hope Apple will invent a way to not touch the screen with a keyboard. Maybe they expect us to keep using that packaging paper in between the keyboard and screen? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The bounds api is great for images, but not so much for videos that require continuity (yet). Today I had some time to play around with react-native-teleport and this is how I managed to integrate it into screen-transitions. Super excited to see how further this can be pushed

I wanted to see how Insomniac approached Quick Time Events in Marvel Spider-Man VS Marvel Wolverine and the difference is clear When you fail to complete a QTE, they don't auto-complete or have the screen freeze entirely. What you do get instead is a different cutscene where Spider-Man fails to act after your lack of input. Its not an immediate death screen but if you don't complete any of them, you will get a death screen in the end.

Stitch’s canvas just got a major workflow upgrade. V2 is here with screen resizing and responsive support ✨. You can now resize any screen and watch it render in HTML mode to test responsiveness in real-time (responsive screens work best for web designs versus mobile designs). We’ve also added the keyboard essentials you’ve been missing: Undo/Redo and Cut/Copy/Paste for entire screens. You can also rename and delete screens to keep your workspace tidy. A customizable background will help you navigate. Build faster 🚀.
