If that was halland, 1 nil up no doubt.

Interesting. Said literally the same thing about the Trossard chance vs PSG last season.

It’s easier said than done!!! Henry is a player I love so much but it’s always easier to analyze.

Ya I remember Titi missing that chance in an actual UCL final

Nonsense analysis. Henry thinks everyone has his pace 😂

Absolutely no analysis required there. If the pass was better i.e weight and direction it would've been a clear 1v1 or atleast a much more clear cut chance but Gyokeres gets a decent shot away there.

I disagree with Henry here. Cutting inside early would mean defenders catch up with him. It's a very different scenario from Martinelli's chance where he had the ball more centrally.

I can’t help but blame the pass at least a bit. Touch wasn’t good but the angle of camera makes Gyok look more ahead than he is IMO

That is why he failed as a coach He thinks every attacker thinks like him.

I love Thierry but his analysis is usually based on what he would of done in the same situation which no one else on the planet could do

Disagree, Gyokeres does well to halt the run, basically has to go from a standing start while the defenders are full sprint. Also a terrible ball from merino. Thierry as a pundit is always waffle

❤️🔥

I respect Henry more than any other pundit, but it's easy to pick holes in a single attack. I am sure there are plenty of Henry attacks, over his hundreds of games for Arsenal, that could be analysed in the same shoulda done this or coulda done that. We won the game. End of!

He’s always TOP when it comes to analysing forwards. Hes spot on Gyokeres should’ve done far better there especially when he normally does better in that left channel. Gyokeres was good overall today but should’ve defo got a goal to cap it off. Need him to bag Vs City.

This run does what Henry is talking about

All I have to say is.... 'INTERNAZIONAAAAALE' Seriously though. Great analysis.

It’s a silly analysis, first of all he thinks since he could do it back in the day, even others can. Secondly, Merino makes that ball more central rather than hoofing it in the wing, it’s a better chance. The ball is in the wing and it’s bouncing, it’s not easy to control

Very solid analysis, he’s right there’s no way that ball should end up where it did

That was rather a horrendous pass from a midfielder in rice, Gyokeres did all his best to correct it but it was late

Titi is nitpicking. That ball was played down wing towards the wing. Had it been played centrally like Martinelli goal then it was a different thing. Mr Henry is desperately seeking attention.

Okay good. But he should know Gykores has a heavy touch and can’t be slime as his. But surely improvement would continue as the game goes on and we can enjoy him more

That’s a stupid pass

Henry was right but to me the pass was very poor. A brilliant midfielder will roll the ball on the ground for him in between those two defenders. It’d have been much easier for him for a 1v1 with gk.

@hillzthebahdguy First touch problem

"Henry's analysis is unfair because he's basing it on what he would've done" Of course it is! He's the best striker the EPL has ever seen and has won this competition playing with legends. He is the standard for forwards. Bring back taking criticism damn!

If he puts the ball where he’s saying, the ball is lost. The defender would have a shorter length to cover and wasn’t far behind. The problem wasn’t the touch it was the pass which should’ve been central

He can't compare it with Martinelli as he was more central and Martinellis goal his first touch is poor and is lucky with his second touch to take it away, he could have cut across the defender if the first touch was better but I don't think it was a clear goal scoring chance

Yeah good analysis

Henry is thinking about him doing it, so in his mind Gyökeres can do 1 control touch and run to space generated. Of course that's not the case.

easier said than done innit? as you also saw the ball went quite wide already and the defender was fast enough to close up on him So even the first touch was better and he came a bit a cross defenders. It wasn't even certain that he would've got 1v1

I'd also love to add that the pass should have been played more on ground level than that ...compared to the ball Nelli got, what Gyokeres got was looping way higher

Very valid , been watching gyokeres movement this season .... Doesn't seem like a very intelligent forward compared to the likes of haaland ... Even ekitike has shown better technical intelligence on the ball compared to gyokeres ... He doesn't seem to be at the level yet

I’m sorry Titi I love you but unless its Mbappe, I don’t see any striker making that kind of touch and getting to the ball before the defender closes him in

Subtitles calling him Jokeres is killing me

He speaks from a place of great technical depth and understanding. If you wanna excel as a striker in a professional football club, you always have to listen to Titi's corrections and take them.
